After reading the reviews on here and walking past the bistro during the day we decided we would book a table for the Thursday night while we were staying in Katoomba.Good thing we booked because the place got packed not long after we arrived.
The food was very good, had the mussels and the garlic prawns for entrée, both were top notch then had the beef cheeks which were in a lovely rich sauce and mulloway which was very nice too , shared a couple of deserts also which were pretty good but were full after the entrees and mains.
The service was the only thing that let this place down a bit, because it was busy the tables were quite close together which meant the wait staff kept on bumping the tables when walking past and we almost lost our wine bucket once because of this and when one waiter was clearing the table next to us he dropped some cutlery off the plates meaning a knife and fork were laying next to my feet on the floor, he apologised when it happened but never came back to pick them up.
However I would not let this put me off going here again, the place looks like its still finding its feet and the food was fantastic and at a very good price point.
Looking forward to trying it out again on our next visit to the mountains
