“Cultural Centre Katoomba”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Fabulous new facility. Particularly impressive is the World Heritage Centre with massive wall to wall images of the Blue Mountains National park. Art space excellent plus great library facilities.
The western view from the balcony is awesome.

“A long time coming but worth the wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Asa local, we waited a long time for this, but wow when it opened it really impressed.

The first time we went (we take all our visitors there) we put the suggestion to our cynical Sydney friends who said "culture in the Mountains is an oxymoron". It knocked their socks off.

“Blue Mountains Interpretation Par Excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

What a pleasant surprise to discover a high quality attraction which is a model for other regional tourism interpretation centres - a 'high tech' exhibition center with HD wall video screens, a gift shop offering high quality Australian offerings, an excellent cafe with well priced quality offerings, a regional art gallery displaying quality work of innovative young Australians and a balcony which offers a scenic (and stimulating) panoramic overview of the 'Echo Point' landscape with the township neatly featured in the foreground. And all contained in a 'green' building which has been designed to minimise impact on the environment.

The staff and volunteers were very professional, well trained and exceptionally friendly.

The exhibition centre contained displays and experiences which also catered for children. A multi-lingual information board provided an excellent overview.

Parking in the underground facilities associated with the shopping centre was easy.

A visit to both this centre and the World Heritage Exhibition Centre at the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens at Mt Tomah provides the discerning visitor with excellent information about this outstanding Australian World Heritage Area.

“Most interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The interactive display was very informative and interesting, although some chairs to sit and watch the video display would have been nice. There was a high school art exhibition on in the gallery which was most impressive - these kids have so much talent!

“Delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

This is a delightful place to visit combining an art gallery, library and interactive display room showcasing the beautiful Blue Mountains in Australia. It is a train ride away from Sydney. The view from the outside terrace is wonderful.
