Number 1 on trip advisor and well deserved.
Took the wife here on a weekend trip to the blue mountains from Sydney - we went to Pins after a great day of bush walking so felt we had earned the feast we had.
The experience was great from start to finish - the service is top class, friendly and attentive without being at all pretentious, and the menu was fantastic with every dish showing real evidence of craft and effort put in - nothing half assed in sight.
The gyozas were amongst the best we've ever had, including in Japan, and the salmon sushi avocado salad was delightfully constructed and tasted great.
For mains, we picked specials - the wife went with the wagyu beef curry - excellent! Whilst is tried the char grilled kangaroo with Moroccan sauce and salad - it was cooked to perfection.
We then tried the lemon sake - very nice - before selecting dessert.
The wife went for the Creme brûlée and declared it the best she had ever tasted - I went for the cheese board, all good but the blue cheese was a real standout - washed down with port, it was the perfect finish.
The Creme brûlée is not to be missed.
There reputation is well deserved and I wouldn't hesitate to return / recommend - it's clear the proprietors take pride in their business!
