“Interesting place. Small menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2012

This is a bring your own place run by a religious group out of tennessee, believe it or not. Great food. The Barramundi sandwich was excellent. We liked it so much we came back a second night. Affordably priced. Small cozy inside booths, made by the cafe operators.

“Delicious morning tea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

We had morning tea here, delicious scones, jam and cream. Good coffee and a selection of different teas. The scones are so good, one of the English tourists in our group asked for the recipe!

“Great for unreformed hippies and children of the 60s!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

Quirky cafe with a very limited menu run by an eccentric and very laid back group of people. The wood carved interior felt inviting, but the welcome lacked warmth and the service was haphazard to say the least. Choice of meals was fish or chicken burger, or fish or chicken with salad. No red meat and no spuds or veggies. Not licenced so BYO. How this rates number two in Katoomba is a mystery.

“Real food. Special place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2012

You can taste it in each bite. The food is real, and it's made with care and dedication. The cafe is beautifully decorated and is really cosy. Try to go when it's not so busy, so you don't feel rushed to get out once you've finished.
I'd reccommend the breakfast pancakes, and the burgers. And the nachos : )

“Bland, boring food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2012

The unique ambience of this place does not make up the fact that the food here is tasteless. The cafe itself is definitely a real eye-opener with its decorative woodwork which looked like it came from the set of Lord of the Rings, but if you don't back it up with quality food then they might as well just charge admission to see its interior. How it's ranked number 1 in Katoomba is beyond me. Plenty of better places to eat nearby. Won't be returning.
