“Perfect base for a ski holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2010

Stayed here at the tail end of the ski season. Lucky this year was a great season snow fall wise so we decided to do a last minute trip to enjoy the remainder of the snow.

Rooms were fantastic and very spacious, everything you could need in the rooms and had a great view of Lake Jindabyne. Laundry facilities were very handy too.

Staff were fantastic and couldnt have been more helpful. Food was good too. Good hearty selection for Breakfast before hitting the slopes. Opted to have dinner at the Fine dining one of the nights too which had outstanding food and I would highly recommend paying a visit during your stay.

Ample parking on sight and they have their own ski hire shop to which was so handy because it was reasonably priced and convienient.

would definately recommend for any age group! There is also a woolies across the road if you want to self cater.

We have just returned from a snow holiday at Perisher Blue. We stayed in Jindabyne at the Quality Horizon and were very impressed. 2 Adults and 3 Children, we paid 470 a night, this included our breakfast and dinner each day in a 2 bedroom 3 level apartment. The staff were fantastic, and the drive up the mountain each day wasn't a problem. We hired all our gear from the shop next door and recieved great service. We placed all our children in the milo kids club at perisher and they loved it. They were skiing like pro's within two days. This was most definitely the best family holiday we have ever had. Highly recommend it.

Not bad, poky narrow rooms fitted out in motel pretending to be hotel style, just make sure you are a long way from the gym they rent it out for the local spin class who start shouting and laughing it up at 6am.

It may not be the flashiest motel/hotel in the region, but it was a good option for myself, my hubby, my four year old and my two year old.
We travelled last week - well after the snow season ended - just for a little exploration of part of NSW that we had never seen. We stayed here two nights and used it as a base to explore different directions each day.
Jindabyne itself was a bit dull, but the motel really served its purpose and it was very clean which was a nice added bonus.

We purchased the beginner's package - 3 nights, dinners and breakfasts, a drink, ski clothing and equipment, 2 x 2.5hour lessons each over two days, and lift tickets.

We stayed in a refurbished deluxe unit and were very impressed. The bathroom was large, with washing machine and dryer. Bed was 2 king singles together and very comfortable. Didn't use the self-contained kitchen facilities as meals were provided, but they were more than adequate. The living area led to a balcony overlooking Lake Jindabyne.

The facilities were clean, fairly new, and surpassed our expectations. There was plenty of space for the two of us to spread out and relax. Despite not leaving our room till 11.30am both days, we came back each time to find it had been cleaned.

The ski shop on site was of great help to us first-time skiiers. Meals in the restaurant were more than adequate - something to suit every taste. Whilst it may not have been top quality restaurant food (more like café-style), we were there for the snow and not for expensive culinary delights. Breakfast was a typical hot and continental buffet.

We didn't have a problem driving 25mins to the snow - it's a nice drive and doesn't take that long. Parking was free and undercover, we had no trouble with our 4x4.

Highly recommend this place to those looking for an alternative to staying on snow and found the package great value. After paying our money, we didn't have to fork out for anything else the whole trip except for any drinks at the bar and the mountain pass ($27). It was nice to know that all our other needs were taken care of.

We recently returned from a 3-night stay at the Quality Horizons. We stayed in a refurbished King Suite. Reception was very friendly and organised - which sets you off to a good start. There was plenty of parking near our room. The King suite was refurbished to a very good standard. The suite was very well equipped with laundry in the oversized bathroom (built to accommodate wheelchairs, if necessary) and fully equipped bathroom. Balcony looked out to lake and hills. It was very clean. The king bed area could be curtained off. The room must have been fairly well insulated as we were not bothered by neighbours or the people upstairs.
Breakfast was great (full cooked/cereals/breads/yoghurt/fruit). Dinner was three courses to choose from a larger menu plus kids menu. All meals were great for us except for the fish and chips. Fish had been made from a frozen fish fillet - not fresh fish - but this is just a minor criticism.
We rented our skis and snowboard from Eiger which is in the Horizons building. You get great service and discounted rates.
We didn't get time to use the indoor pool, gym, beautician or tennis court. We were too tired after skiing. All in all a good place to stay in Jindabyne if you want a comfortable stay and get a good night's sleep (not much apres ski here! ). Especially good for families.

My partner and I have just returned home from an overnight stay at Quality Resort Horizons Snowy Mountains and our experience was exceptional. We booked into one of the refurbished King Suites and from the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was stylish and completely self contained. The amenities were well beyond our expectations. The pool was large, heated and clean. The Tennis courts were well maintained. There were walking tracks that could be accessed from our balcony that lead right around the lake. We had dinner at McEvoys Restaurant and it was perfect. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was incredible. Afterwards we played some pool and chatted by the bar. We had breakfast in the morning and it had everything you need to start the day. We had a fantastic time and we didnt want to leave. We will definately be back.
