“The room was a shoebox...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

We stayed here for a night as The Station was booked out. The room here was twice the price but half(possibly a quarter...) the size unfortunately. Stayed in room 10 which as described above was literally a shoebox. Our friend paid the same price to stay down the road at the Jindy inn and his room was 3 times bigger. Our bathroom wasn't even in our room but down the corridor. Possibly the other rooms are nicer...just not room 10...The place does have two cool hangout areas with big tv's, fireplace, bookshelves and a pool table so i guess it'd be cool if you had a small group and wanted to hang outside of the room. And breakfast....served between 7-8 only and not a minute before. We had to get up the mountain early as a mate was doing an instructors course..when entering the breakfast room at 6.50am(the bacon smelt amazing...), we were told to come back at 7....we left and grabbed coffee and a takeaway breakfast in town. There are certainly better options in town if you look around...

Room Tip: Room 10 contains a bunk bed(queen and single) and it's bathroom is down the corridor...it's...

Thanks for your comments; feedback is always welcome. A couple of points though ; the room you stayed in is the only one in the lodge without an ensuite and it is sold as such ‘private bathroom down the hall’ so anyone who books the room knows this in advance and they also know that the bedding is a Tri-Bunk. It is not one of our largest rooms but it is a reasonable 3m x 4m. (that makes your friends room at Jindy Inn with three times the space... 9m x 12m... hmm?
The room is the one that on most occasions can be booked with a 1 night min stay, at very reasonable rates (comparable to the backpackers). As far as your missed breakfast is concerned we often serve guests before 7am, in most cases they ask the evening before if we mind them coming a little early and we make sure everything is ready.....

Perfect place to stay we went for skiing with a group of friends .
The hosts are super friendly , the rooms are clean and neat and the breakfast is more than ample to set you up for the day .
The location nakes it really easy to access transporet to the runs , and you are welcomed back after a day out in the very social recreation rooms .
Very good value for a trip to the mountains .

My partner and I and a group of friends needed last minute accommodation and this was the perfect find. It is in a very good spot, very close to everything. The hosts are so friendly and the service is very efficient. Very clean and cosy and ideal for couples and groups. We will definitely be back!

We live in Sydney and are regular patrons and love coming to Hannas hutte with our children. The owners and staff are welcoming and accomodating. The full breakfast is satifying and the lodge is clean and friendly.

We stayed at this place for a 3 day weekend as it was a very last minute arrangement. The reception on arrival was very lacklustre. Sign here, there's your key, over there' is your room. See you.
The room was very basic, old, but reasonable clean. In fact the whole hotel is like this. Bunk beds and a flat screen TV and ensuite. The rooms weren't that warm either & we couldn't adjust the heat. The bathroom had a strange dual glass arrangement with a gap in the middle that let in the cold air. Try not to get room 1 either as its next to entry and you hear every noise from cars arriving & being unloaded to people talking right outside your window. Breakfast consisted of 1 rasher of bacon + 2 eggs, 1 small bowl of cereal & 1 orange juice & 1 coffee/tea. No extras or refills.

The thing that surprised us was the signs in the room indicating that the breakfast was from 7-8am only, checkout at 9am and the hotel is closed between 10am -3pm. This is definitiely a hard core skier/boarder hotel. Be up early, eat & be on your way.

Room Tip: Do not get room 1 - very noisy

We were In Jindabyne in January for a few days, We stayed here as a base for bushwalking in the mountains and canoeing and swimming in the lake. The lodge was great value and suited our family very well. The kids really enjoyed the games room and entertainment area and our room was clean and comfortable. The lodge location is convenient and only a short walk to the centre of town. We had a terrific family holiday and a very relaxing stay.

Nice clean ensuite room with flat screen TV and Fridge, comfotable bed. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts very friendly and helpful.
Really pleasanf homely place to stay. We also stayed here during winter and enjoyed it very much. It was much busier but didnt lose its homely atmosphere, great lounge area. Will definitely stay here whenever we come to jindabyne.
