“Beautiful place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We stayed in a Lakeview Cabin at the Jindabyne Holiday Park for 3 nights with our 2 children. The cabin had a beautiful view of Lake Jindabyne and the veranda was also closed in which made it nice to sit out in the afternoons when it was cold. We travelled to Perisher each day from Jindabyne which was a beautiful drive and not too far. It is also in a great position with an easy few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. The cabin is a bit older inside but was comfortable enough and very warm, it had 2 bedrooms with separate bathroom. I would definitely stay there again.

Spent a night at either end of a snow trip. Staff were very helpful on phone pre trip and when checking in. Looked after some valuables for the group whilst we were gone on the snow.

Used the tent sites on the lake side. Great camp kitchen, fridge, microwave, hot water. Clean toilets and showers. A quick walk over to the shops at Jindabyne.

Like everything Jindabyne and during the snow season - its expensive to eat and dine out in Jindabyne. Buy from Woolworths and cook up at the caravan park. Nights were surprisingly quiet for a resort town.

Park was well priced considering its location and peak season.

Room Tip: Lake views are great at sunset.

I spent two nights in a Snow Gum cabin. I was upgraded from a Kosi cabin as pre-season cleaning was in progress. My cabin was absolutely spotless and enjoyed a breathtaking view of Lake Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains beyond. As I was staying outside of ski season, there were very few people around which made for a very quiet, peaceful stay. The self-contained Snow Gum cabin would comfortably accommodate 4 adults and is well equipped for cooking a meal. The staff were friendly and helpful and obviously work hard to maintain the park at a very high standard.

The holiday park is in an amazing spot - right across from the shopping centre and next to Lake Jindabyne. It is also run by friendly staff, and was quiet when I was there. The cabin was clean, as evidenced by a strong smell of cleaning products when I arrived. That said, the cabin I stayed in was rather basic and very vulnerable to both heat and cold. The kitchen is indeed very basic (as advertised), so be forewarned that it took me a whole hour to make a curry because the hotplates take a long time to heat up! I didn't take advantage of the other bits of the property, so I can't speak to the recreation facilities. I would recommend this place to people on a budget, though I am not sure it's worth the price tag during snow season. It was certainly on point for the off-season, and I would recommend it to others looking for affordable, tidy accommodation in Jindabyne. One word of warning: the "free" wireless offers only something like 50 MB of data or a certain time period of access, whichever comes first. That's a very small amount of data, and for me (I was working), this "free" internet only covered the amount of downloads required to check my email and the morning news.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Kosi cabin - quite basic, so if you want something a bit more, go for one of the Sno...

We stayed on site 25, powered site. $105 for 3 nights. Site fairly small but we only have a small van so no problem. There are bigger sites. Fantastic view over magnificent Lake Jindayne. Directly across road from Nugget's Crossing shops, supermarket, cinema. Heaps of cafes restaurants snow gear shops, and a fantastic independent bookshop.
Spotless spacious amenities. Camp kitchen. Had great weather. Some confusion I think over this park and the Big 4 park which is 3 km out of town, when I looked up this park on Trip Advisor it came up as the out of town location . Would love to come back .

Thought that it was expensive, camping ground needs a clean up, lots of kids, on the lake so location is great in summer, most other campers seem pretty friendly. Bathroom was a little messy. I realise it is peak summer season. Would stay here again.
