“A pleasing rural setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

A friendly welcome on arrival, we decided to stay in a family room. Two spacious rooms, one with twin beds and a tv, and the second with a queen sized bed, sofa bed and table and chairs and tv with free to air and Austar tv. There was a lovely large lawn out the back with views over a horse paddock and a sheep paddock to the side with plenty of good quality benches to sit on. The rooms were spacious and clean and the air-conditioning worked well, which was just as well because it was hot. Our hostess suggested The Imperial Hotel in the main street, so that is where dined. I had no problem in internet access. It was a pleasant motel because it was 2 klms from town.

Room Tip: The family room at the back with adjoining room was good.

Although we booked in at very short notice, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It's a short distance to the far side of Cowra, but there's good parking and it's a pleasant location.

Beds are good, bathroom facilities are first rate. A good place for couples, families.

Room Tip: Depends how many of you. The King Size suites also have a couple of singles as well as a king bed in...

Check in was good and advice for dinner that night was very helpful. (Checked in around 6.30pm)
Unfortunately I was given a room with a door joining it to the next room. These doors are not very sound proof and I could hear my neighboors phone conversations and his snoring was so loud it was if he was in the same room so this made it a bit hard to get to sleep.
Water pressure & hot water in the shower was fantastic compared to the city.
Next time I would ask for a quieter non joining room.

Room Tip: Next time I would ask for a quieter non joining room.

The best thing about the Motel is the bed. Really comfortable bed in a spacious room with spa.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2011

Our family of six spontaneously decided to visit Dubbo and stop at Cowra along the way. We not only managed to book a family room for the same night as we called, but the room was spotless and the service fantastic. The room was very spacious with very comfortable beds and bedding. The bathroom was incredibly clean and we were all very impressed. We have stayed at many motels as a family, and this was definitely our favourite. It did rain the WHOLE time we were away on holiday but the owners suggested lots of things to do with the kids and the best, most cost effective places to eat as a family - these things are so appreciated when you are on a tight budget. I can't say enough about how wonderful this motel is and how helpful and lovely the owners are. Two thumbs up and 5 stars from this very happy family! We will definitely be back as soon as we can.

After reading the review done by "ozkazz", I was bit worried about the quality of the service but it turned out to be pretty good.

The lady at the reception does speak bit rough sometime but in fact, she is very friendly and helpful.

She gave me very friendly greetings, helped me with finding where to eat and also where to go.

I had a spa room. The carpet seemed to be bit old and furnishings in a room was bit dark (everything was in dark brown) however the bed was comfortable and it was really spotless.

The night was bit cold but I was fine with a air conditioning! The only down side I can think of is the internet connection was bit weak but I wasn't expecting much since Cowra is not a big town. It was free anyway.

Room Tip: Clean rooms and friendly staff. Good location too.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

We stayed here back in May, 2 x families (2A and 2kids each) for a tennis tournament.... On the plus side: good value for money, rooms were large and clean. Quiet location, yet close to town, and a "backyard" for the kids to run around in. On the down side: the woman who checked us in/out was very patronising & cold in her manner. Two examples:... when we asked about the pool, we were told that it had not been cleaned/serviced for weeks, as the man who maintained it was ill (long-term), and she had "far more important things to worry about" other than a pool. The fact that the pool was unavailable was no big deal to us (especially in May!), but her manner was: no apology was made, & she treated us like it was a big inconvenience to even have asked about it. Second example: one of our boys found a (recently) dead owl at the base of the tree at the entrance to the Motel (he was very sad... such a large & beautiful bird).. When he (very) politely went & told her about it, she said: " Well guess what? Thats where its going to stay!! Not my problem!! ". I couldn't believe her cold response, especially to a young child.
Having read other reviews, maybe she has her good days and bad days. Maybe she doesn't like kids? Who knows... But her attitude to her customers needs improvement.
If you don't mind this, then yes, its a good place to stay in terms of the rooms. But we will not be back.
