“Massive comfortable room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Clean comfortable efficient. Huge room with excellent facilities including kitchen. Excellent place to stay. Good hearty country food. Handled our group of 20 very efficiently. Would stay here again. Plenty of parking. Great place.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

Looking for two bedroom accommodation at a reasonable price for a couple of nights, we selected the Federation based on its TripAdvisor profile. The motor inn was as good as it was rated. Plenty of room, everything clean and tidy, comfortable beds, modern amenities (esp. shower enclosure with lots of hot water) and warm heating for those cold autumn nights. The nights were very quiet. Couldn't hear other guests or any road noise. Easy parking outside the unit. The staff were very friendly and nice people. Trusting too. Hadn't paid a deposit and could pay in full when we left rather than arrive. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here while attending a wedding at All Saints Winery which is only a couple of minutes drive away. Rooms are spacious, modern, clean, very well equipped and well priced. The shower was a sparkling surprise with great water pressure.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

We booked into the Federation Motor Inn for a two night romantic getaway. What an unexpected and lovely surprise we had when we saw this large and beautifully appointed room! And clean – it was faultless in every detail. Hosts Sue and Steve have done an amazing job in giving this stately property a recent makeover, including comfortable beds, tastefully appointed furniture/décor, seriously good flat screen TVs, and state-of-the-art bathroom areas. We particularly liked the hi-tech shower fixture and two-person spa bath (BTW it actually fits two people comfortably with plenty of room for champagne bottle and candles!). The U-shaped courtyard has tall swaying palm trees and a beautiful central island boasting native plants. I found myself sitting outside our room for hours, just relaxing and taking in this tropical vista. The family area is built around one of the cleanest and prettiest in-ground pools I have ever seen, and is faced by the glass-walled restaurant/bistro. My only concern was the creeping vine growth along the walkway roof on our side of the facility – it doesn't seem to fit with the otherwise immaculate grounds. Altogether an amazing experience, and at a surprisingly affordable price point. Thanks to our experience, and Sue and Steve’s wonderful hospitality, we have extended our stay for another three nights!

Room Tip: If you don't mind the creeping vine canopy, then ask for the Executive Spa room, it is incredibl...

Really enjoyed great big room, shower that 'twinkled' and adequate facilities.
Very clean with friendly hosts, also car parked right at the door. Old railtrack across the
road was nice walk into town.

Room Tip: Was nice to see the sheep behind motel rooms, very countrified.

So many country motels are quite run down, so it was a real surprise to find that this place has kept up with modern expectations but didn't charge a premium for it. The facilities will suit all types from families, couples to the business traveller Sue and Steve were so helpful and knowledgeable of the local area which ensured we didn't miss any of the local attractions.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

I stayed here for 5 nights in a newly renovated spa suite. Great location, close to town but still far enough out not to be too noisy.

Friendly and helpful staff.

The room had a hard bed, although I don't mind a firm mattress but it may not suit some. Two single seats, coffee table, tv, wardrobe, mini bar fridge and coffee tea making facilities. What more could you ask for really.
