“Good Value deal and great location”

Got a last minute deal here as I had stayed at another Mantra. For $150 got a studio room for a weekend when the CBD was ridiculously expensive. Easy to get to CBD (about 15 minutes door to door), friendly staff and perfectly adequate room.
Probably need to improve the swipe key system soon (too many failed cards and lift access dependent) and the bathroom could do with an update, but really comfy bed.
Would stay here again if I can get a similar price

I recently stayed at Mantra Chatwsood for business in the area for 3 nights. On the first morning I discovered that the hot water only ran warm and in very small amounts. I let the staff know, who were able to fix it for the second day, only for the problem to resurface again on the final morning.

In addition to the lack of hot water, I also found that the hotel was only fitted with harsh fluorescent lighting. I agree with other reviewers that the breakfasts were not great, and would suggest the Three Beans cafe over the road for breakfast instead. On the upside, the staff were friendly and the room was clean and otherwise comfortable.

I've since also tried the Sebel in Chatswood and would recommend it over the Mantra in Chatswood.

Stayed here for business in March 2013 for 2 nights. Reception staff friendly and efficient, room was spacious with a desk so working was easy, plus a dining table, couch, kitchen and separate bedroom. Only complaint was the breakfast - $27 (from memory) and the eggs were awful, in fact all hot dishes were below average and there was not much of a selection of fruit / pastries or anything else. And they have the smallest glasses for juice I have seen in my life! 2nd morning I went to a cafe around the corner which was much better and much cheaper.

For the first time decided to stay here, and it proved a bad choice in terms of location and overall service quality.
Room service menu and quality of food was disappointing, absolutely tasteless food.
Room cleanliness was lower than expectation, I found cockroaches in might, took photographs and reported to reception. All that they said, we will spray insecticide tomorrow. How about my night?
Will never stay again. Sorry!

Room Tip: Stay in city in harbour area, chatswood is very boring.

Had a late booking so an apartment was the only thing available for a one night booking.
The room is very very large, spacious, well appointed and maintained.

Unfortunately had to leave early before trying the breakfast.

Great location directly across from Chatswood station and the "food street" in front of the station which has a Korean BBQ, A Eurpoean beer cafe and Mamak Malaysian restaurant amongst others

Room Tip: Book early. The better value rooms book out early. There is a little bit of noise from the train st...

I stayed for 5 days in October in the hotel. The rooms are very well maintained, the quality of items in the mini bar is excellent. The breakfast is the best part of the apartments. Located in very convenient location for people who have offices in the northern suburbs. Walking distance to Chatswood shopping centre. Good kitchen facilities.

Ample space for children to run about in places. The swimming pool is very much enclosed and shared with other residential apartments. Overall it gives a experience of being at home.

This is a very comfortable hotel serving an excellent breakfast. While not in the city centre it is beside the train station where there is an excellent and frequent service. The renowned restaurant Mamak is just across the road. Rooms are air conditioned and spacious. The studio room I atayed in also has a micromave oven and a clothes washer and drier in a utility area. Staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The only fault I found was that wi-fi is not free.
