First of all, if you're reading this review, you are considering spending a night in Queenstown. My advice to you is: don't. Keep going. Keep on driving. Go to Strahan. Go to Zeehan. Go to Rosebery. Anything is better than Queenstown, which IMO is simply dreadful and depressing.
But if for some inexplicable reason you must stay in Queenstown, then Penghana B&B is the best place, hands down. The owners Bill and Maureen are wonderful, knowledgeable hosts. Their establishment, a listed nationl heritage building, is well-kept, clean, and spacious, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. My only complaint was that my room had a certain aged smell---I couldn't quite put my finger on it. But other than that I was quite pleased.
But to my first point---I made the mistake of stopping at Queenstown. Don't do the same. Keep on driving.
