“We don' t recommend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2011

We arrived at night at airlie beach and went to the Organic B&B as it was listed in the lonely planet. The person who received us was so unpleasant and commercially agressive that we decided to move away.

The hotel is ok (let say normal given the price) but they really make you feel that they are only interested in your money and nothing else.

Therefore we recommend other places like the YHA or the Coral Sea were we enjoyed our stay.

Friendly family run bed and breakfast, beautiful rooms with air-con, very clean and light, modern with a traditional twist. Great attention to detail and made to feel very welcome. Superb range of organic products and homemade lemon and myrtle tea. Living room has a full range of magazines, books and newspapers so comfy my boyfriend fell asleep watching the tennis! You can enjoy a chilled bottle of organic wine whilst relaxing on the balcony overlooking Airlie beach. Breakfast was a three course, organic, freshly made taste sensation, presentation and flavour was excellent, good recommendations of where to go and eat. Great value for money you will not be disappointed.

I've just spent 2 nights at the Organic B&B in Airlie Beach. Andrew and Janet were so welcoming, helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were amazing and the location is perfect. a short walk to Shute Harbour rd but in a lovely quiet, peaceful location. A definite recommendation if you're spending time in Airlie!

A short uphill stroll from the main drag lies the cozy B&B. Our room was comfortable, with a large ensuite. The communal lounge has gourmet tea/coffee, springy lounges and plenty of reading, watching and listening material. The decor is relaxed and tropical.
The real highlight for us was the mouth-watering breakfast! Fresh, organic, and served to you personally overlooking the ocean.
Would return.

My partner and I visited Airlie Beach for a one day work conference and decided to extend the visit to a 4 day weekend. The company booked us is a resort for 2 nights so we decided to try different accommodation for the first night. I was a little apprehensive about the Organic B & B as I had read a few bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! Sure, it is not going to be like a 5 star resort with all the trimmings, but for some to compare it to camping was a little over dramatic. Trust me. I should know. We are avid campers. :-)

Our flight to Airlie was delayed so we arrived at the B & B a little late, but that did not bother the staff in the least. They were very accommodating from the start. We were shown to our room that was quite large with a double bed, and king single bed, 2 bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a television (although we did not watch it). We had our own shower room (down the hall from our room) and a shared toilet. They also had jugs of rainwater and glasses for you to take to your room.

We explained that we were looking for things to do while we were in Airlie, and straight away that made suggestions of different activities and booked us in for the Ocean Rafting. The next morning we had an organic breakfast overlooking the trees and water. They served muesli, yogurt and fruit, followed by poached eggs, pumpkin, spinach and toast. We also had our choice of organic teas and coffees.

The staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. It was a lovely place to stay and was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend the B&B for couples wanting a little getaway without breaking the budget. Thanks to all who made it a lovely stay.

knowing that Airlie Beach is a backpacker destination par excellence we didn't expect to find such a quite, unique, special place just 5 minutes walking distance to the main locations. The rooms a great and the bathroom was very spacious and clean and everything done with love and taste. 3-course-breakfast was included and absolutely delicious! The owner really know how to treat their guests. Breakfast is served an a beautiful green deck with stunning views onto the bay. Besides the early wake-up by lots of kakadus and kokaburras it was the best place we stayed at so far for a very good price compared to all the other places we checked out before in Airlie. If we ever go to Airlie again this will be our place to stay, even for more than one night to really appreciate it.

Stayed here for 2 nights, Andrew looked after the guests, including myself so well. The B&B is very funky with local art and furniture. It has great views of Airlie Beach from the breakfast deck (and my room deck). B'fast was heaven, there was a choice of tropical fruit or cereal and then eggs (poached or scrambled) with mouthwatering vegetables and breads followed by home made dessert!. I could have sat there for hours watching the birds and ducks. Andrew and his family know the area well and were able to give me great advice on which boat trips to do .I did a days sailing in Ragamuffin and loved it; the crew were so friendly, it was a day of adventure which included seeing Whitehaven beach (a must). The transfers worked well, the ferries and little buses to ship people to their accommodation was a very efficient operation. I will be back, this time with my partner Andy!
