“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

This hotel was central although Airlie is a small town but you dont have far to walk to catch the bus outa town. The hotel was very clean if a little dated but exceptional value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had lost my engagement ring on this leg of our trip and the girl at reception was very helpful at giving me information on were the neareast police station was and the telephone number.

The rooms were exceptional for the price, and the hotel convenient for all needs during a holiday. We will return but next time will get a room that makes the most of the location and provides a view to enjoy. The staff were welcoming and very helpful - all you could ask for!

Room Tip: Pay a little more and get a room with a view

We stayed for one night prior to our yacht trip; the time of day and the hotels central location were the main factors for staying there. I felt the rooms were over-priced for what they were. However, the hotel was clean, the staff efficient and parking was ample. Overall it was functional but nothing special.

We stayed at the Airlie Beach Hotel for 3 nights- one before we went sailing and two when we returned. On the first night we were fortunate to be upgraded to a room with a view of the beach which was lovely! When we returned we stayed on the other side, but still in the hotel section. Both rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. They included comfortable king size beds, free wireless connection and foxtel (with a range of sport and movie channels) on the flat screen TV. The position is as good as it gets- right in the heart of town but surprisingly quiet at night. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to stroll to breakfast and dinner and found the breakfast at the hotel restaurant "Capers" to be good value. I'd definitely choose this hotel again!

In the heart of the dining & shopping waterfront area of Airlie Beach, the hotel is on a winner with location.
We had a room with a view - definitely worth paying a little extra to be on this side of the hotel.
The 'stay for 3 nights, pay for 2' package was good value.
The room was good and the only disappointment was that there were a few smokers in adjacent rooms, which meant that we kept the balcony door closed instead of enjoying the fabulous Airlie July weather.

Great position overlooking the pretty, sparkling lagoon, with island views across the glassy calm Coral Sea. Our room with a balcony faced the lagoon on the centre of the third floor. Our refurbished room was comfortable with clean lines. Easy parking and room access from the first floor secure carpark. Three great restaurants are attached, and we were able to order pizzas from one. They phoned you when the pizza was ready to pick up. There was a nice, casual vibe here.

Room Tip: Book into the top floor (level three) in order to see the lagoon over the trees.

we stayed for two nights in one of the King suite overlooking the ocean. This is a fully self-contained unit with a separate bedroom, lounge area and fully equipped kitchen with microwave, oven and full-size fridge.it is located on the Esplanade directly opposite the beach and close to the centre of town

The check-in was easy and the staff very helpful as usual.

There was a winetasting on that night at Capers restaurant from 5 PM-6:30 PM for VIP guests. When we enquired about this at reception, we paid the $50 joining fee
for their program which would allow us free access to this night and included vouchers for two bottles of their house brand wine from the bottle shop and $50 worth of restaurant vouchers for food. It also included 30% discount off room rates. This program certainly represents great value for money.

There were four or five wine companies present with a good selection of their wines and the hotel supplied very tasty, good quality finger food for the whole time-a great start to the night. we had made reservations for dinner at Capers restaurant and will review that as well

The beds are very comfortable and we did not notice any noise at all and we were staying on a Friday and Saturday night. Undercover security parking is available free of charge.

all in all, there was nothing really that we could fault.

Room Tip: if you can afford the money, the King suites have everything you are looking for
