“lovely walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014

Our hotel was in Cannonvale so we used this walkway to get to Airlie Beach. The lady in the hotel said she wouldn't recommend making my two children walk it however with so much to look at along the way it didn't seem that far at all and on the way back we saw lots that we hadn't seen on the way there so again there was lots to keep them occupied. The boardwalk was well maintained which made it a smooth path and even when there were other people around there was lots of room to pass each other. Stunning scenery, a safe place to walk and much less than the cost of a taxi what more could you want!

“Incredible views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

Unsurpassed tropical views on easy boardwalk. Some hills depending upon how far you want to walk. Great checking out boats and yachts in the Marina. Perfect start to the day.

“Fabulous sea views easy walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

We walked from Cannonvale to Airlie Beach, there is a concrete path and or boardwalk all the way. There are wonderful views of the different bays and Able Point Marina as you turn each corner. There are free excercise machines and public toilets, water stations. The path is shared by birds and lizards, families and cyclists. Plenty of places for coffee or lunch along the way as well. An extremly enjoyable FREE thing to do when you are in far north Queensland.

“Beautiful views easy walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

This walkway ran from outside our hotel on one side of the bay to the lagoon. It was mostly flat and boardwalk style. It is also used by jiggers and cyclist so be aware. The views were amazing across the bay we saw fish, a turtle, lizards and lots of birds. It was a very pleasant walk with seating along the way if needed. It took 30 to 40 minutes to walk to the lagoon depending on how many photos you take!

“Easy shoreline walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

First of all it's free which is hard to come by in Airlie Beach. Secondly it's nice and flat so anyone on wheels whether it's a bike, pram or wheelchair can do it.

There is excercise equipment, public toilets, a skatepark, marina, rocky beaches, Stand-up paddle board lessons and views out to the ocean along the way which makes for a great stroll. You pretty much start/finish between the lagoon which is a great place itself in the heart of Airllie & Cannonvale beach which is not the prettiest but a short walk through a park takes you to the shopping centre (Coles, target, a bar, takeaways, banks etc). You can catch a bus to or from the Whitsunday shopping centre which goes all the way down Shute Harbour Road if you don't want to do a return trip.
