“Wonderful weekend on Silent Night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

We had such an awesome time on Silent Night! Skipper Willow, deckie Elliot and trainee Nat made our trip so wonderful. The food was great, the sailing was exciting and the spots we visited for snorkeling we're great. We ran into some rainy weather on the first day, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. We met so many nice people on the trip, and it was great to be on a smaller sized boat (12 ppl vs. 30). If we are ever back in the area, we'd happily sail again with Silent Night. Also, I think after our trip, they were planning to put on a new main sail, so I bet the boat is even faster now!

“Two Days in Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Skipper Nat and his able-bodied first mate Taylor read the wind and the waves as we set sail out of Abel Point Marina and headed toward Hook Island for some fabulous snorkeling and delicious, healthy food. That night, Taylor hung some LEDs from the starboard and handed us a lure with which to catch squid. Mesmerizing to watch. So were the dazzling array of stars overhead. Even saw some meteorites. The next morning, we arrived at Whithavn Beach before most everyone else and played frisbee in the surf with sting rays all around us. Nat was responsive to the group's desire and headed for the best snorkeling areas on the east side of Whitsunday Island. The fish displayed stunning designs and colors, and we also saw a few turtles. My only warning is to bring a hat and lots of sun tan lotion. We had delightful weather, but it can be fickle.

“A solid three-star trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

We originally booked our Whitsunday Islands cruise on the Pacific Sunrise, which apparently went out of business. Whitsunday Sailing Adventures offered to refund our money or book on another boat. The Summertime was our only option as we had already booked non-refundable flights. Overall, we had a very good time. However, if I went again, I would opt for a newer boat. When we boarded the Summertime, the chemical stench (I think from the bathrooms) was overwhelming and made me nauseous. The smell continued for the entire day then seemed to dissipate somewhat. No shoes are allowed on the boat, and the wooden deck tends to get wet and very slippery. One slip and pulled muscle/head injury and your trip could be over. I've been around boats my entire life and usually there is some sort of non-skid surface on deck. The crew on the Summertime was awesome. Brad, Alex and Alesio did a great job of navigating, cooking and entertaining us. The food was tasty and adequate but not gourmet. If you are used to snacking throughout the day, you might bring your own snacks. They have cookies mid-morning and in the afternoon but we're talking one or two per person. Unlike photos in the brochure there were no wine glasses, only plastic cups. Only one 60 second shower per day per person. The shower is in the toilet area, typical for a boat shower. No soap was provided in the women's restroom… a bit unsanitary. The snorkeling and trip to Whitehaven Beach was great. Everyone on our boat had a great time and got along well.

“Amazing sailing on silent night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

We had a wondefull 2 nights and 2 days on board of the silent night.
The boat is a racing vessel, it is the sexiest boat around, very cozy inside (don't expect too much space) and exciting when the wind allows it. I would't call it silent night even if the nights were nice and relax (we had a mixure of ages and culuture aboard it was fantastic, from 12 to 70!), because it's much more than that. Great adventures, great fun, great snokeling. A big thank you to Eliott who made wondefull meals for us and to Willow our skiper who took us on a unforgetable journey.
