“Pleasent Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

This was the 1st place we stayed on our road trip down from Cairns to Sydney and was very pleased with our choice. The room was a nice size with a view over the front gardens & pool. The staff were very friendly and helpfull when ever we spoke to them.

Found this hotel on website and had a great deal on offer. The views from the balcony was amazing! Cool breeze in the evenings with view of the moon was just the right combination to relax a weary soul after a day out in the heat sightseeing around the town. Bustling town center with heaps of tourist. Market day by seafront when a cruise ship came in..and within walking distance from hotel. Hosts were great. Complimentary breakfast was an added plus with the free internet! A coin operated washing machine and dryer located downstairs was a bonus for my family of 4 on a road trip from Cairns to Brisbane. Intended to stay one night only but added another night. If ever we in the area again we know where to return to.

What a wonderful hotel this is!!Third time we stayed here in 10 years time. The rooms are newly renovated and decorated, everything in a stylisch but not overdone way.
The tranquility of the rooms, and especially the location,is what makes this hotel so very atractive.Add the absolute great food prepared by the the lady ownner of the house and her daughter. This is the far most best food, flavour and quality wise,we had during our whole month long trip!Bernie, let's not forget about you!The way you make the guests feel welcome is so natural and genuine. Thanks for helping me out with my smartphone settings too.....Bernie you are gold!!!

We stayed at the Colonial Palms Hotel after a three day sailing trip in the Whitsundays. It was the perfect place for us to stay for the night after the trip. The "pool view" room was nice and tidy, the bed huge and the bathroom very spacious.
We could take a relaxing shower and had lots of space to repack our suitcases and backbags.
The staff was very helpful, they printed and scanned a document free of charge. The breakfast the next morning was good, but nothing extraordinary.

We stayed at the Colonial Palms for three nights on our trip up the east coast, using it as a base for the Whitsundays. The whole ambience of the inn was very, very good. The accommodation was very comfortable and the restaurant excellent and well worth a visit. John, Bernie and the family provide a friendly and first class service both in the hotel and in organising trips on behalf of their clients.

We had a fabulous stay at Colonial Palms and would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending it to our friends. Thanks for making us so welcome .

Stayed just one night before an all day Whitsunday cruise. Was expecting a simple motor inn but got much more - good sized room overlooking the marina, 2 pools, bar and restaurant, and guest laundry. Only negative is that it's a fair walk to the esplanade restaurants. We had a early morning pick-up for the cruise and the hotel had no problem with us leaving our car until the evening. Nice to have wifi included in the rate.

Our overnight stay provided a clean room and continental breakfast a bonus. A short drive or walk to Airlie Beach tourist centre. Queen bed was comfortable and facilities good with car park close to bedroom. View from balcony was reasonable. One downside was the beeping sound of reversing trucks/equipment near the foreshore development most of the afternoon until 6pm, Would consider staying again once the foreshore development is completed.
