“good coffee from this chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

A good cup of coffe or a meal from their excellent menu is a good place to chill out. The view is great and the sea breeze keeps you cool.
Relaxed, friendly, scenic but not alway quiet.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

Yes the view from the Coffee Club at Port of Airlie is quite nice and serene. There was a cool breeze coming off the water as we sat outside for a late lunch. My iced coffee was anything but icey - not cold at all. Was there supposed to be icecream in that? Oh well, I didn't feel llike getting all uptight so I drank it. Then came the main course, chicken with a "creamy" Dianne sauce, chips and salad. The salad was soaked in a vinegary dressing so did not taste refreshing at all. The sauce on the chicken was everywhere and unfortunately did not appear to have any creaminess about it at all. It was more a salsa sauce. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, I asked if that sauce was supposed to be on it and she looked at the menu and said "yes". I could not eat much of my meal, dripping with this overpowering sauce. When my husband paid he told the chef the menu said a "creamy" sauce. The chef looked at the menu and replied something like, 'Oh it does say tha'. We got a $6 discount - yeah!!! I should have made a big scene about the coffee and should have sent the chicken back. Next time we will enjoy the view with a homemade sandwich and a flask of coffee.

“Poor service and rude”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We stopped here to have a coffee half an hour before it was due to close, the waitress was packing up the outside area however people were stil eating meals some having only just arrived. We ony wanted a coffee but were told that they were closing and rather rudely at that, so we walked down to the other cafe near it. Wouldn't go back again nor would we recommend to anyone. Change your staff or re-train them on manners.
