Owner description: 'ISail Whitsundays was founded by brothers Luke and Tristram Mairs in 2007 with one simple goal: To provide the best sailing trip of the whitsunday islands. Since then their business has grown to 3 boats and has been built upon a genuine passion for sailing and a love of all things aquatic. They pride themselves on personalised service aboard quality boats. Each tour sails, visits Whitehaven Beach including Hill Inlet Lookout and snorkels at least in 2 locations.Sailing with a small group offers many advantages. Boats taking less than 13 guests are allowed full access to the marine park, meaning ISail's boats can visit the best whitsunday locations whilst avoiding the crowds. There are 3 boats within the company: Iceberg, Blizzard and On Ice. ISail Whitsundays offers day and overnight tours. All tours depart and return via Abell Point Marina in Airlie Beach Queensland Australia.

“Great Family Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

We have just returned from an Awesome 6 days 5 nights on board "Blizzard". We wanted a trip that our 3 kids (5,5 and 7) could enjoy with their grandparents and experience more of the Whitsundays than just a taste. Luke and Sophia gave us such a fabulous experience. Neither my mum or the kids had ever snorkeled before. Captain Luke and host Sophia were so patient and accommodating. By the 5'th day they were snorkeling confidently and seeing reef that we alone were enjoying. Each place Luke took us to was decidedly different from each other, each reef had it's own personality and the diversity of fish and coral was enthralling. The weather was 10/10 we managed some lovely evening sails, and the kids loved being dragged behind the sea scooter, James Bond style! Luke chauffeured the kids and mum on two rafted up paddle boards for over an hour allowing them to gain their confidence with their snorkels while we spent lovely kid free time enjoying the reef. Sophia was fabulous with the kids, she took them in the tender for turtle sightings and runs on the beach we didn't need to ask for anything, Luke and Sophia had it all covered. The food was great, Luke and Sophia were easy company and their experience and patience allowed us to have a really great adventure with very little stress. Blizzard was very comfortable and fun to sail on. To top of our last sail we were followed by two humpback whales! Can't rate these guys more highly. Thanks for giving 3 generations of our family an incredible family adventure.

“Fantastic Trip Aboard On Ice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

I booked a 3 day/2 night Whitsundays cruise aboard iSail's On Ice catamaran on the strength of a friend's recommendation and was very happy I did. First impressions were good, the group we would be sailing with was small (10 including us), the crew seemed nice and the boat was immaculate. The tour started from Abel Point Marina and made it's way to Tongue Bay for the first overnight stop. Sadly there was no wind so we travelled by diesel power although the engines were fairly unobtrusive and the lack of wind made for calm seas. There was a bit of safety briefing type stuff but most of the first leg was spent getting to know each other and the crew whilst relaxing at the table or catching rays on the trampoline like fore deck before dinner and drinks at the bay whilst dolphins (or dugongs?!?) splashed in the darkness. Ben the skipper is quite flexible with the itinerary and gave us the option of an early start to see Whitehaven Beach from the lookout before anyone else gets there and disturbs the sand, it was a unanimous yes. In the morning after a great breakfast we jumped aboard the tender and made the short sharp climb to the lookout to see Whitehaven Breach Inlet looking pristine, the only visitors being the stingrays visible through the clear water, good call Ben. We then made our way to the beach by boat where we had a few hours to swim, walk in the fine white sand or try to master the stand up paddle boards. Back aboard the boat Sean cooked up a great lunch whilst we made or way
to Maureen's Cove with its amazing coral formations and Blue Pearl Bay, home of Elvis and Priscilla and many, many more fish dodging calving whales along the way. Again dinner was great and the sunset from the bay breathtaking and everyone had a good time chatting with a few drinks till long after the party boats had called it a night. The return trip took in a visit to a sand spit where we saw turtles hiding in the coral before returning to the marina a very happy group. Thanks to Ben and Sean it had been a great trip and one I would recommend to anyone.

“Trip of a Lifetime on the Blizzard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We had a fantastic trip sailing the Whitsundays with Dave and Sophia on the Blizzard. The weather was amazing, and we had a great time paddle-boarding, snorkelling alongside "Pierce" and swimming with the sea turtles. Captain Dave made sure that we were the first up to see Whitehaven Beach and Sophia made sure we were well fed. There was virtually no wind for the majority of our trip, but on our way back to Airlie Beach the wind picked up and Captain Dave was able to pull out the spinnaker for the ride home. It was great. We had great shipmates from Australia, Canada, the US and Britain. I would highly recommend this trip, boat and crew! I researched boats before we selected the Blizzard, and they did not disappoint! We only wished we had another day!
