“No. 1 Restaurant in Airlie Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2010

While in the Water's Edge Apartment complex, it is totally seperate to the apartments. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. We had enquired around and it was recommended by a number of people, we were pleasantly surprised. We were offered lovely breads to start, while we perused the very comprehensive menu. My husband's Antipasti was better than he had eaten in Italy last year. Try the Columbus wine - delicious. I had Duck Spring Roll to start -wrapped in lettuce, which I did not like and also expensive for what I got, but it was tasty with the dipping sauces provided. The Meditteranean Plate was amazing. The Rib Eye steak was mouth watering while my Pad Thai was not the best presentation, with large scallions dominating the bowl. It tasted good however. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend it to all Airlie Beach visitors.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2010 via mobile

Good food, service, and atmosphere (apart for the procession of hotel guests who were going back and to using the pool). My wife had pork which she really enjoyed and I had snapper. Not a deep fried anything in sight! The price guide on this site needs increasing by around $5.

“the definition of fine dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2009

On a recent weekend away to Airlie Beach, my partner and I decided to book in for a Saturday night dinner at Deja Vu Restaurant at the Water's Edge Resort. Relaxing into our own Bali hut for the evening, it was truly the perfect romantic setting. Deja Vu’s extensive menu is enough to satisfy any appetite, described as Australian-Modern Cuisine, with a hint of French influence. The Salmon Gravlax Parcel was a delicious start with its sweet apple and spiced pumpkin filling. Next up, the Deja Vu Goat Curry saw the perfect blend of spices, with a side of tasty pappadums to boot. My partner ordered the Nantua Seafood Pasta for his main dish. Suddenly feeling an overwhelming craving for seafood too, I scoffed down a couple of bites of the fresh fish, crustaceans and molluscs, which was topped off with a scrumptious blend of lemon and basil with squid ink linguini. Absolutely divine! Determined to fit in something sweet, I couldn’t go passed the chef’s speciality French Crème Brulee, and now I know just where the phrase ‘deserts to die for’ came from. Deja Vu Restaurant is purely fine dining at its very best – a must for anyone in Airlie Beach.

“About Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2009

how often do you get so excited about going to a restaurant and then to be disappointed. Well not this time, we found this little boutique restaurant netstled within a resort. we found out that both the owners are chefs and are married. he is a french-man and Sarah is an australian. The food is excellent, particularly the fish and the dessert (souffle) is worth getting fat for. The views are wow and the decor is just simple yet elegant. You really feel special. Nice touch with the complimentary hand-towels. We also ate for lunch whilst there on holidays and this time enjoyed the pool. Lunch was very affordable ($15, i think).
