“Poor service and food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014 via mobile

The service was extremely slow, and also terrible when they eventually got to you. My friend asked to change his drinks order and they said "no they're already poring it at the bar" and from that point it still took 15 mins to arrive, so she was clearly making that up.

Next they dropped tomato sauce in my bag covering everything, but just took the pot out and left everything inside covered in sauce until we asked for them to clean it up... No apology at any point!

A few of us had chicken wraps which contained less chicken than a chicken nugget... And others had the beef wrap which they couldn't eat as it tasted so horrible.

Avoid.

“Good food...good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

After a little shopping in Airlie Beach, we all retreated to Hogs Breath. It's as good as place as any...we had recently had lunch in Mackay and it's good to see that there's a lunch option that's just under $10. The food was good and service good too.

“Good quality food with a great outlook”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We revisited Hog's Breath for a family birthday celebration and were not disappointed.

The steaks were great - cooked to our request and the service good, even though they were very busy.
We were allocated a balcony seat, with fabulous Airlie Beach clean air, overlooking the Airlie Lagoon.

A little expensive, but compensated by our frequent diner card discount.

“Terrible service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Just ate here. Was a party of 5. Started well. We got seated and orders taken. Then never saw another waitress near our table. Our son's meal was delivered 10 mins after mine but it was dumped in front of him and she says 'sorry its late'. No one spoke to my husband or I. Had to get up and walk to kitchen to ask for sauce. No offer for more drinks or if we needed anything . Waitress's were chatting and looking at what they had purchased at the retail shops. When we got up to leave no one was around. My husband waited at the empty front counter to pay. When someone eventually arrived, he stated that the service was terrible and the girl said 'oh well' and he said 'is that it' and she says 'yep'. Really embarrassing as a Nth Qld local.

“The 1st Hogs Breath”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

We thought we'd visit the first ever Hogs Breath Café in Australia as a bit of a novelty. The food was pretty standard, although I thought their fish might have been fresh considering their location. I suppose they have to keep it consistent along the chain. Service was definitely above average though.
