Completed my PADI open water course with Whitsunday Dive Adventures, and comend both Jeremy & Emily (dive instructors) based on Daydream Island. Both instructors are absolutely amazing and made me feel comfortable in the water!!
Whitsunday Dive Adventures operators, Katrina Thomas and Mike Daley, were somewhat different in their business etiquette. Upon completing my course, I made a visit at their shop in Airlie Beach where Katrina tried to sell me some dive gear, though to my discovery - Katrina is not even a diver herself, and was quite surprised as to how little she knew about diving and its equipment, yet she manages a dive shop where she is expected to sell and market the products they sell - GO FIGURE!! I don't think she's even ever used a mask and a snorkel!!!
With that in mind, I completely put my trust in the two instructors commended above, though shop elsewhere - GO SOMEWHERE THAT KNOWS SCUBA DIVING AND THE USE OF ITS EQUIPMENT!!!

As the Owner of Dive Adventures I read with a degree of disappointment that someone has gone to the trouble to post a comment, relating to our lack of experience and or expertise in relation to Selling or offering advice on Scuba Dive equipment..
Report response as inappropriate
For the record the author has been involved in the diving Industry for over 20years, is a qualified Service tech for a number of well known Brands, and is very conversant with the technical aspects of equipment both From a hardware viewpoint as well as the dynamics of Software.
Yes it is true that my wife Katrina is not a diver, However her experience in the Dive equipment sales Area would be better than most Divers ! In fact Her knowledge is better than the average Recreantional Dive Professional.
Katrina has attented many Dive equipment sales seminars, on the subject , notwithstanding what the Author has contributed to her knowledge of Dive Equipment.
I find it amusing that a Dive Student who has never dived before, just completed a Dive course, has the Knowledge to so scathingly write a review on someones ability (or lack of it) when they have no knowledge themselves.? unless of course it is a report from someone who has a vested interest in attempting to discredit us for their own purposes.
Katrina and the author have built our business on the basis we care about our students, and Customers, we offer advice on diving in the area, we provide the best advice we can, and our references are a testomony to that.
