“Home away from home...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

24 May - 28 May 2012.

My partner and I have just returned from our second visit in a year to Palm Cove.

On our first visit, we had booked 3 nights at Villa Paradiso and 2 nights at Peppers (a few doors down). We looked at the room at Peppers and cancelled and stayed at Villa Paradiso for the 5 nights.

It's literally a stones throw from the beach and such a short stroll to the many restaurants nearby.

The apartments are all beachfront, large in size with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. We couldn't fault the it - extremely comfortable.

The pool is sheltered behind the complex but gets the sun and no wind on windy days. We spent many an hour swimming and drying off on the chairs around the pool in the sun, or under the sail in the shade.

The restaurants in Palm Cove seemed mostly pricey - Coles is a short distance away, so we did a grocery shop for meals 'home' every second night (you can order online if you don’t have a car and Coles will deliver). Every day we used the bbq facilities to cook brunch and when not eating out at night, had a bbq dinner eaten on the balcony.

The apartments and surrounds are impeccably kept. Dave and Eve (the managers/owners) are lovely and very friendly. Nothing has been too much trouble are always readily available should you need anything or just have a good ole chat. Buddy the resident Beagle with the mohawk, is very quiet, welcomes a pat and enjoys a good game of fetch.

If you're coming to Palm Cove I urge you to consider staying here. We absolutely loved the kitchen, the balcony, the location and the pool. Highly recommended! It is very relaxing, clean and excellent value for money and another bonus is a 4pm checkout for an evening flight home.

We will be returning.

We have stayed at Palm Cove a few times over the years but really enjoyed staying here. The apartment was wonderful, being in the heart of palm cove was great and going to sleep at night with the sound of the waves of e beach was restful. It was our home away from home and we moved in! The weather was rainy all week which is unusual but we still had a great time, eating out, trip to the reef, massage. Please check my other reviews and I've added some pics.. Eva and David looked after us well..thank you

We have stayed in Palm Cove at a variety of places on the beachfront, but Villa Paradiso is surely the best. We had stayed there before and had always said we would go go back. It was better than even we expected, with an improved outlook to the sea over manicured lawns and across the lovely tropical gardens. The apartment was spotless and had a new kitchen and two new televisions since our last visit - just perfect for our family. The apartment was big enough to be able to have space slightly away from the kids, in fact it was huge. Our stay just reinforced our earlier experience and we still believe that the centre of the beachfront is the only place to be if you are going to Palm Cove.

So close to home but it was really a world away at Villa Paradiso on Palm Cove beach. The apartment was massive and had everything we needed - even two lcd televisions with heaps of channels and Austar. The pool was a bit crowded but that didn't matter as the beach was so close and we could sit under the trees on the top of the beach. Sleeping is so easy when its with the soothing sound of the sea and waking to a peaceful sunrise across the calm sea is part of what makes the plac so special. We really didn't want to leave and will certainly go back.

Room Tip: The high floors view appeared to be limited by the melaleuca trees.

For our family getaway we wanted to be close to the beach and be able to see the sea - well we got both! Not only that, we had a huge apartment with a balcony for outdoor dining with a view as well. The price was right and our groceries were delivered by Coles after we had ordered them online two weeks earlier. The property was all it promised to be, and more. The chidren loved the pool, the beach, and the nearby tropical zoo. Made some new friends and hope to go back next year.

Villa paradiso (ground floor apartment 1) boasts spectacular ocean views and still offers plenty of privacy. The beach is literally a stones throw away and at night we fell asleep to the sound of waves breaking and palm fronds rustling in the wind.
It has a relaxed beach house atmosphere with all the creature comforts and the decor has a rustic mediterranean feel. There is an ocean breeze blowing through the apartment even on the hottest days. We came for 2 nights but stayed almost 2 weeks and did not want to leave. The proprietors were welcoming and always helpfull and I cannot recommend this little piece of paradise enough.

We had a very relxing holiday at Villa Paradiso. We had a ground floor unit so it was great for the kids to be able to get out and have extra area to play amongst the beautiful paper bark trees. Villa Paradiso is in a great location. Very central and in the heart of things. Right on the esplanade and only 100m or so to the playground and swimming enclosure. We loved the pool too. We enjoyed the sea breezes and views from our unit. The unit was spacious and comfortable. In fact we didn't eat out as much as we thought as our unit was so comfortable. We just wanted to hang out there and chill out. A home away from home.

Room Tip: Ground floor unit great for kids to get out and not be so confined.
