“windy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Not really a 'cove' at all, Palm Cove is a pretty open beach. No wave though. It makes for a nice morning and evening walk. Nice palm lined beach. Very exposed to wind though

“Fab beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

A very long beach to walk along with great cafés and restaurants. Regular public transport to get into cairns just takes an hour about a lovely scenic ride

“Plenty of clean beach at low tide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

Spent 10 days in Palm Cove; the beach is natural, at low tide there is lots of beach and some sand bars, the council maintain free undercover electric bbq so bring tools and a picnic or you can buy from local butcher and supermarkets($$$) for a spur of the moment meal, council have removed all coconuts so you will have to walk towards Clifton Beach to find a coconut laiden tree in the scrub, very few shells to find and those you do find are very small, digging up pippies and watching them burrow back into the sand was fun for the kids, predominant wind direction at this time of year is onshore (S.E.) so can be a choppy sea and consequently shoreline is very important murky water, good to see the sun rise but the mountain range is close by so in shadow before sunset.

“Cosy, relaxing spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

One of our favourite places to visit is PalmCove Beach. If you want great surf, big waves or enormous stretches of golden sand, then you should bypass Palm Cove. But if you want a small cosy little beach straight across the road from great restaurants, shops and cafes, this beach seems to wrap itself around you. A walk from the rocks and jetty at the northern end along past the village, and further if you want, is a lovely way to relax and while away a bit of your holiday. The sand is gritty, you have to watch out for stingers (in season), but it is, in my opinion, one of the great places to visit if you are after a relaxing and quite beautiful spot for a break away.

“Perfect location to relax.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

Palm Cove is not a shopping Mecca thankfully. Perfect place to enjoy a stroll along the beach, sit back and enjoy a cuppa or glass of wine. Book yourself into a day spa or book one of the many day tours. We loved the crystal waters of Green Island. Great place to recharge the batteries. Take a book!
