“The best value attraction in tropical Nth Qld”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Ease of access, value for money, lots to see and do, a great attraction for families. Spent over four hours at Hartley's, could easily spend the whole day without any effort - something going on all the time. Having spent the previous two weeks touring from Port Douglas to Innisfail and the Islands, for value for money and thorough enjoyment, Hartley's is it !!

“Great family day out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Great experience, good way to see crocs up close. Was a bit too crowded but if u avoid their zealous attempts to herd you all in one direction and do your own thing it's much better. Lots of wild life, the crocs are huge and just awesome. Native wallabies etc to pat and lots of other wildlife to see. Food available is fresh and tasty although extremely over priced as you would expect when they have adaptive audience. We went early, it opens at 8.30 and only ha d morning tea there, back in PD in time for lunch. Not overly expensive, about $90 for a family of four. Worth going.

“Better than expected”

The staff make this special. They are informative but keep it interesting . The croc show was great although the boat ride was shorter than expected - still very good

“The crocs in their nature habit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

We have seen a few zoos, some with Crocodiles and some with out. We were amazed at how natural this zoo was. We saw Crocodiles in an environment very much like what they would live in in the wild. There were no concrete pools or glass tanks but water holes where they laid unnoticed until the leaped out of the water to rip the meat of the feeding poles. Seeing them sunning themselves on the banks helped you appreciate how territorial they are and how BIG they can grow to. Crocodiles were not the only animals there. There were Turtles, Tropical Birds, Lizards, Snakes (great show), Kangaroos, Cassowary, Koalas and lots more. Education talks kept the kids amused and were very interesting.
