Description: Casual beachfront dining, central location with seating of approximately 84 pax, authentic Thai cooking by Thai Nationals. Very reasonable costings from approximately $10 to $32.00 for dine in patrons, also available the same menu for takeaway with costings from approximately $9 to $23.00. Very reasonable drink prices with a wide selection of beers and wines. BYO wine charge at $6.00/bottle. “Nice place in Palm Cove”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Good food, great location, didn't have to wait for a table, but observed some other patrons getting their orders mixed up and another couple were forgotten a while after seating. The prices were reasonable given what you pay at other places nearby. Palm Cove is just a great town with many choices for food, I would eat here again.

“Better than average Thai”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Returned to Choc Dee for another better than average thai meal. The service was efficient to start but fell away when we weren't given plates to share our entree's or knives.
Both the entree's of spring rolls and fish cakes were very fresh and tasty. Both our mains were better than average but seemed to lack a little to make them very good. Overall would recommend and will go again

“Dissapointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

We had hoped for better following other reviews and a number of recommendations. The good news is the location and ambience, it is a lovely place to be. The food however wasn't quite good enough, the soup had too much fish sauce in the base, the duck was too fatty and the pad Thai a little bland. Service was not good. Firstly when collecting plates, another tables dirty dishes were plonked on our table whilsts ours were collected, the courses didn't arrive at the same time and when our mains did arrive, we had no cutlery, the waitress apologised and blamed her colleague for being new! No one came to ask how our meal was and once we had finished no came to clear the table and busied themselves packing away for the night (This was 9pm, we arrived at 8) meaning I eventually had to walk to the bar to pay the bill minus a tip. It's a shame, perhaps it was a bad night but we were not satisfied.

“Nice Thai food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Lovely location just next to lime & pepper at peppers beach club, food was pretty good and service was great. All our meals were really tasty and for five people it was reasonably priced.
