“Breathtaking attraction. Brilliant Service !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Working only a few hours from this iconic location I am kicking myself for not visiting sooner... Arriving late at night we were met by Charlie, who walked us to our Villa. The villa was beautifully appointed with everything you could want, cooking facilities, fridge, air-con and great bedroom, sitting room and a large balcony. Arriving after dark left us with the spectacular surprise in the morning, the view of Lake Argyle from the balcony was incredible.. As was everything about the whole place. Leanne the Manager, Charlie the owner and the whole team treated us as though we were part of the family. Swimming in the lake, the sunset cruise (a must) the infinity pool that feels as though it spills into the lake. Yes. Yes Yes. They are also in the process of huge upgrades and additionds to an already amazing place.. A definate must see for anyone in the area or planning a trip.

Room Tip: The camping ammenities are great as are the standard rooms, but splurge a little on the reasonably p...

Used the pool hear on a day trip to Lake Argyle ($10) if we had of had longer we would have definitely stayed. The facilities seemed good and the location of the pool and the views of the lake were stunning! Wish I could go back!

We intended to stay for 3 but stayed for 5! Super friendly staff, fantastic location, amazing pool! The sunset cruise was BRILLIANT and well worth the $240 (2 adults, 2 children) it included afternoon tea, soft drinks, wine, beer , champagne cheeses at sunset) hosted by a passionate and informed skipper (thanks Graeme). Only downside is there is no mobile coverage there - except on the lake where you can pick up from the diamond mine) there is a public phone available. Meal in the restaurant was great too and Saturday night they had kareoke in the beer garden!

Hi Lynx66,
Many thanks for the great review. It is always nice to hear from satisfied customers. We are working on the mobile coverage, so hopefully the next time you stay we will have coverage. Although, it is kind of peaceful here without mobiles ringing all the time. In the meantime we recommend that everyone takes their phone when they go on a cruise.
Kind regards from all of the management and staff at Lake Argyle.

On arrival we were greeted by super friendly staff, who really knew the area. The pool was amazing & we loved the early evening entertainment & happy hour. The toilets/showers were clean & well maintained. I would suggest the property install more washing machines & increase the number of washroom facilities. Overall a great stay & we would certainly return.

We spent one night on this campsite. Facilities good although not too many bathroom facilities. Great views from the campsite and the best swimming pool I've ever seen at a campsite, maybe anywhere actually!

Live music in the bar. Food was ok.

Curfew on this campsite is quite early. Apparently it's because it's close to the NT border so they take account of some folk being on a different time zone (1.5 hours ahead).

Make sure you pop into the relocated Durack Homestead while you're here. Very interesting.

Hi SarahS4
Thanks for your comments. Yes our pool is fast becoming one of the most photographed pools in Australia and is an early stage of the ongoing development of the Lake Argyle Resort. In the not too distant future we plan to improve many of the facilities here as we are becoming one of the most popular destinations in the Kimberley.
All of the management and staff here wish you all the best for the rest of your travels and we hope to see you again soon.

My wife and I spent four glorious days and nights here. It was way beyond anything we expected. We will be returning many more times in the future.

I thoroughly recommend everyone stays for a minimum of three days to enjoy just a small part of all that is available. If you have the time a week would be better to make the most of your stay.

Go on book it now :)
