Love the hotel. The rooms are well built and are exceptionally clean. Love the soft music at the beach and the service in general. The beach is one of my favorites, every day the walk feels different and I never get tired of it. Would like to see more dominican food on the menu, gourmet dominican, we have incredible food.

As a family of 5, it can difficult to find a resort that accommodates the family that is both upscale and cost effective. Sublime Samana definitely fits both criteria. We stayed in the 3 bedroom casita which was spacious (huge), comfortable and luxurious. It was the same price if not cheaper than other places we researched in the Caribbean where we would all be stuffed in one room. The grounds are beautiful and well designed. The kids loved the pool. It was extremely relaxing - no rushing to get chairs, no fighting for a table at the restaurant... The whole experience was chill. Breakfast, which is included, was amazing. Two courses including great French bread and pastries. Staff was attentive, although don't expect to have lengthy conversations in English. The resort is not close to town, but you are not missing much. Excursions like trips to Limon, zip lining or excursions to the national park can easily be booked by the resort. They can just as easily be booked on your own if you want to save a few pesos/dollars. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing Caribbean vacation, especially those with big families.

We had a wonderful time a Sublime Samana. The restaurants could use more variety, and their shopping service could be improved, but it was a beautiful property with a friendly and fun staff. We will rent a car when we go back so we can do our own shopping and go out to eat more often.

My wife and I just spent 9 nights in this wonderful establishment for our honeymoon. We have so many vacations planned in our future but we've both decided that our next vacation will undoubtably be back at the Sublime Samana.
When we arrived I was concerned about the menu as my wife has a gluten allergy. On the first day of our arrival Chef Christian Baez personally introduced himself and assured us that he had a special menu for my beautiful bride. For the next 9 nights we were treated to the wonderful creations of Chef Baez. Any time I got bread my wife got gluten free bread etc. By the second day of our trip we weren't concerned in the slightest about gluten as the entire staff and the chef seemed to be aware of her allergy already as the entire staff seemed already prepared for this.
A little bit more about the food (sorry)...the complimentary breakfast was absolutely amazing! Served with fresh pressed coffee and amazing French bread the selection was the menu was the single best way we could start off our day. I tried every breakfast selection while my wife could not eat anything but the Mangu which is a local dish consisting of fried eggs, mashed plantains, and two pieces of juicy ham. The dinner was even better! We ventured out to Las Terrenas a couple nights for dinner (there are some fantastic little restaurants in town like El Lugar that are definitely worth checking out). The food in town is great but we enjoyed having dinner in The Sublime Samana above all. The atmosphere is quiet the lobster is the best and the staff is top notch.
The General Manager of the resort, Bruno Gaudio, has built a team that caters to every need and truly understands how to make their guests sink into total relaxation. We had one day of rain the entire trip and it turned out to be one of the best days of our honeymoon. The rain was very heavy but warm and the beach bar was still open for business. The bartenders (Ramon and Pepe) made the trip so special (even in the rain). The cocktails were amazing! The waiters Augusto, Leonardo, Pablo could not be better. I scheduled a private dinner with the concierge and they organized the most beautiful ocean front dinner (equipped with an all gluten free menu created by Chef Baez) that was spectacular! The location is remote, the food is wonderful, the spa is Sublime, and the atmosphere is so relaxing that we didn't want to leave.

Excellent holiday, everybody came away happy and relaxed. It felt beautifully secluded and the way that the pools and cabanas were set up was stunning. The staff were wonderfully attentive and professional.

This is a great boutique hotel. The rooms are unusually large and luxurious. The property is impeccable. The beach and pools are gorgeous. The food is very good: my only complaint is I think they could use a bit more menu variation. The atmosphere is super relaxed, serene and quiet- even with kids there. The service is GREAT- the staff is top notch. I speak Spanish so I don't know how well they all speak English but I din't hear any complaints.
