My wife and I wanted to find the perfect place to celebrate over 30 years together, a birthday and Valentine's Day. We seek and treasure beauty, solitude and romance at a reasonable rate when we vacation. We found it all at Casa Amor Del Sol, a brand new sparkling clean B&B on the edge of the jungle and just across the road from the water's edge in Tankah.
Diane and Phil, our owner/hosts, made us feel so welcomed the moment we drove up, to the tray of coffee waiting each morning just after sunrise, the delicious breakfast feasts prepared at our schedule by Diane and their thoughtful attention to our romantic privacy. We stayed in the Frida room, one of two room choices, with a verandah on three of the four sides of our second floor paradise. We enjoyed the peaceful pool in the back under the palm trees and amidst the colorful birds, and the rooftop jacuzzi, complete with star-gazing day beds surrounded by candles...the photos on their website capture the beauty of the place and the views.
The powder sand swimming beaches of Tulum were only a short 12 minute drive in our necessary rental car, as was an array of great restaurants for tapas and our late afternoon dinners.
This was our first vacation B&B experience, as we have always been hesitant to share our vacation time with anyone. The Casa Amor Del Sol met and surpassed our expectations.
