This resort was so vital to the well being of Coolum and other nearby businesses and it is terrible to see such a mere reflection of its past glories. Although most reviewers comment on how tired it is looking, what is worse is that you can wander around the grounds with barely a person in sight.
I wanted to return to the Captains Table for lunch but on asking , was told it no longer operates and is only used for functions.

After reading bad reviews I decided to take my 3 yo for a look anyway and was quite taken by the park, I thought it was quite amazing and different. Maybe on the pricey side but still very enjoyable and something different :)

This resort is tucked away in the beautiful part along Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It's a short drive south of Noosa along a scenic coastal road. We drove up from Brisbane airport and our first impression was of a resort that has had better days. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow. The layout encourages walking to and fro and it is set in bushland which lends the atmosphere of seclusion and privacy. The only thing is, there is not a lot around bar the resort, so if you want to eat elsewhere, you have to drive out. We found ourselves heading for Hastings St, in Noosa virtually everyday!
Having said that we still made use of the resort's facilities, especially a spa experience. Which was divine.

I went there for a conference, it was still deserted. Very few of the conference people stayed on site - probably something to do with the cost of accommodation.
Accommodation was a little dated looking but really clean, big and comfortable.
The highlight was the food - excellent both in the restaurant and for the conference.
Staff were friendly but few and far between.

The Conference mentioned was attended by a significant number of day delegates - the majority of whom lived on the Sunshine Coast. We believe our prices are competitive.

Visited the resort for a conference. As one drives in it is very obvious that thus place needs a good spruce up to its former glory. Conference venue was adequate. Staff were friendly and our food tasted were catered for. Even us Vegos! I just kept noticing things that needed doing around the place, the paint that needed refreshing, paving askew, buildings looking tired.

We were VERY LUCKY to turn up when there was no-one around, one Sunday late afternoon (AND I do mean no-one!). My friend and I parked up and simply walked into the automobile'area' and then wandered around the "shed" full of cars; from a current SLS AMG gull-wing Mercedes to a 1903 steam engined precursors to the Model T Ford - Absolutely Fascinating! From there, we decided to have a coffee at the resort bar where prices were simply far too expensive and probably the reason that it was empty apart from the staff. We paid AU$38 for two Irish Coffees with Baileys which was high!
Following that, we made our way (over a small fence - no staff around at all) into the Dinosaur Park. How unexpected to find a Jurassic Park feel and layout with lights that illuminated the various creatures. Incredibly well done and well worth a visit. The signs indicated AU$37.50 charge which I am not sure whether I would consider worth paying although I have since been told that prices are being reduced.
