We returned to the resort based on a previous stay in the Hyatt days. Sadly this time it fell short of our expectations. On arrival it was evident to see there is no consistency with uniforms, signage etc now that the brand has been removed. The grounds themselves are not well kept. The biggest disappointment was the staff - they were disengaged and unhelpful. Many staff walked past without acknowledging us. The resort lacked atmosphere due to the very low occupancy and this brought the overall experience down. Personally we loved the location, mainly due to the beach club experience however this time around it was a huge let down. No towels like on the previous stay (despite there being a cupboard labelled towels), no private beach with umbrellas and chairs, the club's kiosk (which had previously served burgers and drinks) was closed and there was no sign to phone concierge for the return trip (we only knew about this from our last stay). We will not return under the current management / conditions. When booking we were unfazed about the whole "Palmer" involvement but the resort is tacky and lacks meaning - it just seems like it's some kind of toy to a man that clearly has no idea about hospitality.
