Was looking forward to a fine dining experience as it was a special occasion and was sadly disappointed by The Millhouse. The food was fantastic and the Chef's Taster amazing but the overall experience was spoilt by the total lack of atmosphere a fine dining restaurant should have. No background music and there was a large, very noisy group present. The staff were rushing around serving them with wine, wine and more wine; the noise was unpleasant with nothing to soften the sound. Talking at our table was impossible without raising your voice. This is not what I expect when it says Fine Dining. And to top it off, when we were given our bill, the waiter said "hope you enjoyed your stay" unfortunately he wasn't looking at us at the time and his face was towards another table as he spoke. He didn't wait around to hear the answer and was gone before the wallet hit the table. So while I certainly would recommend the food to everyone I would not recommend the overall experience.
