“Very relaxed camping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

23rd July we stayed at Banka Banka after being to Mataranka and it is definitely value for money.$20 for 2people grass sites, hot showers that have terrific water pressure, friendly staff, kiosk which opens at 6pm and a bar. Also there is a hill for the more energetic you can climb which has the australian flag flying and a pole with signs pointing to distant places. If you have children and it is hot the staff give them an ice block each.It does not have powered sites but generators are allowed until 8pm.Avisable to try and get there early as it gets full pretty quickly,as this was our second time we knew the earlier the better. They also have a horse which appears to have befriended a calf so something for the children to have a look at.recommend a stay there.

Situated about 70km north of Threeways on the Stuart Highway, this place is a great place for a stop over! Greeted by the owners with ice blocks for the kids as it was a hot day, we found a beautiful shady spot under the trees, grass all around us and lots of people there. The owners have transformed the old "Mud Homestead" into a bar and have a bonfire out the back every night! Awesome experience, nice hot showers, good toilets, a nice walk up a hill to a look out and waterhole! No power though, which suited us fine, we had a great time here.

Lovely station property close to the highway. Open airy camp kitchen and a good bathroom block. Plenty of space, a reasonable amount of shade and good grassy areas. The managers are good friendly country folk.

We came in the wet season so there were loads of frogs at night. Very nice people but the camp kitchen is open with no sink and layout was a bit weird. $10 pp for camping
