Description: Dine under the stars in the tranquil surroundings of Katherine Museum. Watch the wallabies and hear the local wildlife in the surroundings reminiscent of an outback stockman's camp. In this wonderful atmosphere (no bugs!) enjoy your camp oven meal by the camp fire. Be entertained by great aussie humour; true and not so true yarns; the good, the bad & some a little bawdy. Kids are not left out - we are famous for our "damper on a stick" (the bush ice-cream), our billy spinning competition and our scavenger hunt.

“An absolutely brilliant, entertaining night!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Due to the fact that is was mid week, and nearing the end of the peak season, we were fortunate enough to experience the night where the numbers were small, which meant we could interact more with fellow guests, and Marksie.
It was clear to see that Marksie genuinely enjoyed hie Bush Tucker Nights, and willfully engaged in banter, good humour and an inparting of bush tucker knowledge.
The food was delicious, cooked on a camp fire, in keeping with the theme.
We had buffalo, beef, lamb, crocodile and baramundi, cooked with aboriginal elders secret herbs/spices.
We also enjoyed a bush fruit punch, billy tea, damper and the most delicious mini scones with jam and cream.
The food was awesome, and what we learned of traditional Aboriginal ways and culture was enlightening.
There are wallabies hopping around, (with names) ...hello Bruce!
Would we recommend Marksie's Bush Tucker night?
