Owner description: Spectacular all year - see this area from the ground in the dry season, and from the air in the wet season. The Jim Jim Area is only accessible by 4WD during the dry season. Visitors can explore the spectacular and challenging walks or take a boat shuttle ride to Twin Falls over crystal clear waters (charges apply). Scenic flights are also very popular, and allow visitors to see the spectacular Jim Jim Falls, which are in full flow only during the wet season

this is a great place. large expanse of water and some water falls. bit of a drive to get there but well worth the trip. it is really beautiful and you can swim there so it is a good relief from the heat and makes the trip back bearable.

“It is a MUST to go!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

You cannot not visit Jim Jim Falls if you are in Kakadu.
Walk can be very tough as it was a lot of 'rock hoping' and they were very uneven. It was very rough but both of my children age 9 & 8 did very well- it is do-able for children so long they are fit.
Shoes can get wet too as you might have to walk in shallow water. A good pair of trekking shoes is recommended.
The swim at the fall was fantastic! Water was so clean and clear!
Try to pack light if possible, don't forget the insect repellent too.

“Jim Jim falls”

Absolute a must. Road has been smoothed with graders and last 5 km was fun 4wd driving, only small creeks to cross. Walk is a little challenging although not vlimbing at all.
The swim to the water fall over 200m was exhilarating. The too swimming holes are beautiful.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

We had intentions on driving to Jim Jim falls in our hired 4wd, buy were advised, not to take vehicle as the road was too rough plus water crossings.Hence, please allow a day in your travels to get on 1 day tour on 4 wd truck.Book ahead.

“Absolutely beautiful well worth the hike in to see it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Need to be quite fit and steady footed as lots of rock climbing to get to the falls. The beach is so beautiful and the water so clear.
