Strange set up whereby take out customers & 'dine in' share a buffet table. If you like 'deep fried', with undisclosed lumps of elderly protein hiding within, swimming or not in sweet coloured shiny sauces, it's lovely. We don't. 2/3 of the buffet which was available for take or dine - in, (we sat inside) was deep fried 'stuff'. Upon removing a particularly thick gooey coating on a chicken wing, the grey colored tough meat looked so 'scary', that after a quick 'taste', we were afraid to consume it. Sweet & sour red sauce over a mixture of pork & mutton of variable vintages could not mask the frightening toughness or strange flavors. Struggling to find anything we liked out of 20+ items on the 'hot table' (most deep fried), we requested a bowl of steamed rice and some hot sauce.. Soup should be hot...it was barely warm, as was water for the self- serve tea (undrinkable). Cold shelf: dessert consisted of tinned peaches, underdone pavlova + multicoloured gelitinous material. In our judgement, overall quality of food was poor. Spacious dining room. Cleanliness: passing grade. Really nice staff: cheerful & generous. If they weren't so lovely friendly & helpful, the rating would drop a notch.
