We went with friends to the restaurant, it seemed to be mid city with out the usual winery ambiance more like a giant barn but that is too harsh. I guess it is trying to be all things to all people and unlike the Mission in Napier it is not set among the vineyards nor does it have the intimate dining room. The barn like atmosphere made it rather noise. The waiter was young, unhelpful and lacking in knowledge of the menu. He actually forgot to put in part of our table of five's order therefore we had three served and two waiting. Not good. He actually barley apologised choosing to try to laugh it off, our friends were not as amused. As we were in New Zealand a couple of us ordered venison, which was severely under cooked in deed my husband called it 'blue' ok if you order very rare, but as we had ordered medium rare we were again disappointed.
