“Fabulous place, people, views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We had such a wonderful trip to Tiki Tiki Ora. Mark & Angelique are wonderfully accomodating hosts who have tons of experience in hospitality and it shows! They were immediately helpful with every local inquiry and provided great breakfasts. The views from their house are some of the best we have ever seen in NZ and are even better from the short climb up the mountain behind them. We are from the US and have stayed in many B&Bs around the world - this is one of the best! Well worth a visit :)

We stayed at Tiki Tiki Ora for an extended Labour Weekend Break Away. Mark and Angelique were the perfect hosts, right there when we drove up the drive, to help with our bags and offer a drink after the drive. We immediatley felt very welcome in their home and nothing was too much trouble. They recommended a restaurant and made the booking for us. When we arrived back we were offered a drink before retiring. A nice touch was the choccy on the bedside cabinet. The home is fabulously decorated with antiquities from Mark and Angelique's travels abroad but is also very homely with a stunning view over the bays to Paihia. It was lovely to hear the tuis's in the bush at breakfast which was generous and beautifully presented on the outside deck. I can't praise this B & B and hosts Mark and Angelique enough !! I am sure we will return. Highly Recommended.

Awesome weekend retreat and lovely hospitality. That extra mile! Loved the fact that The host even followed us down the road to return my phone I had left there. That's service! Rooms lovely with great views and the hosts know the area well so can direct you to good restaurant and activities. Worth a visit.

From the moment we walked into the door we felt welcome – Mark and Angelique are fantastic. We were greeted by Mark as we pulled into the driveway who helped us bring in our bags. Angelique asked us if we would like some tea, or wine…if we were hungry – since it had been raining while we did the Bay of Islands cruise we were a little cold and wet and took her up on the tea. They told us to sit down and make ourselves comfortable – Angelique brought over some tea and cookies. They asked us about our plans for the next day. We had booked a day trip to Cape Reinga with Fuller’s and they called to confirm our reservation which was fantastic. They then made a recommendation for dinner – at the Duke of Marlborough Hotel and made the reservations for us. The restaurant was great! The food and service as well as atmosphere were all fantastic and the view of the sunset was gorgeous – if only we had seen it from their place! We were greeted upon our return with a glass of wine and sat down for an evening of wonderful conversation! Mark and Angelique are very genuine and interesting people – we were sad to say goodbye. The next morning we had to get up bright and early which was not a problem, and they had a fantastic breakfast prepared! Our room was comfortable, clean and full of some of their beautiful antiques. We can’t say enough good things about our stay. If you are thinking about it – book it now! You won’t regret it! Thank you Mark and Angelique, we hope that one day our paths cross again – Craig and Tina.

My husband and I stayed at Tiki Tiki at the start of our tour of New Zealand. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer! Angelique and Mark were the perfect hosts, the house is idyllic and the rooms as comfortable as it is possible to make them.
Breakfast was fabulous too with lots of goodies- eggs, fruit, yoghurt, toast and anything else you could think of. I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone who wants a really luxurious break.
A stay with Mark and Angelique is as you would imagine a 5 star hotel would be if it was hired for your own personal use!!
