Wow this is some place to write about! Its all about location, and here you have fantastic 360 dgeee views of the sea and surrounding hills. Clayridge is standing alone on top of a hill. AHH peace away from a road, their long drive is private. The accommodation is of a very high standard, you get the views sitting on your own private patio, onto the garden and beyond to the sea. The bathroom is lovely, spotless and spacious with huge shower. Tea and coffee provided neatly laid out with either bone china or colourful mugs to drink from. Free internet use from the lap-top in the guest lounge was also much appreciated as we were able to catch up on our emails.
Clayridge is close to the Abel Tasmin National park about half an hours drive, with its expanses of golden beaches, walking and canoe hire facilities. Its also close to loads of arty crafty places and driving distance to Nelson.
We stayed in a lot of Bed and Breakfast places in NZ, touring for 2 and a half months and usually staying 2 or 3 nights in each place. Clayridge ranks in the top 3 !!!! for us, the views, the bedroom, attentions to detail, the breakfast on the patio, the friendly inobtrusive hosts, I could go on ( I caught up on my washing here -- fantastic washing machine! )
Worth booking in advance.
