Our children had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and they absolutely loved it. The idea that you can just come down for a wonderful breakfast each morning made them pretty happy. The Cathedral Inn is located just a couple of blocks from downtown, yet it's physical location just behind the cathedral makes you feel like you are in a small town. The Inn is beautiful, the grounds are peaceful, the birds sing continuously and the hosts are amazingly hospitable. We weren't able to get a rental car in time and they just lent us their car. As paranoid Americans we couldn't believe that they would just do this, but it really made the difference in allowing us to see all kinds of sights in and around Nelson. We would definitely come back to the Cathedral Inn again.
