Stayed two nights at the Ventura before our flight out to Sydney. We were given a suite comprising double bedroom, lounge, kitchenette, and good sized bathroom with tub and shower. All spotlessly clean. No problem with noise, and the staff were obliging whenever we contacted them. Our early morning alarm call was on time (2am) and the airport shuttle was waiting for us at 3am as arranged.
I had to check my bill twice to make sure they'd charged me for everything as it was much lower than I'd expected, so no complaints there!
The breakfast is rather basic, a help yourself cold buffet in the entrance hall, but sufficient.
All in all, an excellent place to stay and superb value.

We were booked to stay at this motel and our flight was due to arrive at midnight. Unfortunately, due to fog in Auckland, we were diverted to Christchurch where we sat in the departure lounge for six hours. From there, I rang the Auckland Ventura Inn three times. The first time to notify them of the situation and the uncertainty of our arrival. The second time, I told them we probably wouldn't be arriving for some hours and asked whether we would be liable for the full cost of the night's accommodation if we didn't arrive at all. I was told we would as we hadn't cancelled by 5 pm the previous day. Knowing we'd have to part with the full night's accommodation cost whether we showed up or not, I rang a third time to say we hoped to arrive some time during the morning and asked for a late check out. Yes, he said, we could check out no later than 2.30 pm at the additional cost of $40. Well, eventually we arrived at 11.45 am. We were tired and hungry and asked for breakfast supplies as breakfast was included in tariff. The receptionist was unfriendly and grudgingly gave us a pack of two weetbix each and a small jug of milk. That was it! No attempt was made to make us feel welcome or sympathise with us over the very inconvenient beginning to our New Zealand holiday. My husband, who would be driving to Hahei that day, managed to sleep for two hours until 2.30pm when we checked out after paying the full night's tariff for our two and a half hour stay. Fortunately, when the receptionist requested the additional $40 for the late check out, another more senior employee intervened and told us we wouldn't be charged that fee after all. I accept it wasn't the hotel's fault our plane was diverted to Christchurch but nor was it ours and we expected a more friendly and hospitable approach to our plight.

The Ventura has previously received some great reviews so I guess we were a little disappointed with our stay!
Check-in staff were very abrupt and unhelpful and the parking card they gave to us did not work.
The room was clean and modern - pillows great - but it was so noisy! Our room faced the front of the hotel and I can guarantee that the airport shuttle operated throughout the night! Our sleep was also disturbed by aircraft noise. I gave up on sleep around 5 am and went down to breakfast - it is a very exposed area - under the watchful eye of the front desk and the choice of food was very limited.
Business centre was good value - unlimited use of computer for 24 hours for about 9 New Zealand dollars.
Rooms away from the Hotel forecourt may be more condusive to sleep!

I have not stayed at this Venue. I drove here to view accommodation for a 3 week visit for 3 adults. I have a mobility card and was extremely disappointed on arrival to find that Ventura Inn had their company vehicles and trailor parked in the Mobility car parks to the left of the main entrance. No mobility cards were displayed. I spoke to the receptionist at the front desk who did not do anything about my complaint.... nor did she seem to care. Shame On You Ventura Inn
