I have stayed here several times now because it's handy for my work, the owners service cannot be beaten. I've tried the rest but this is undoubtedly the best.

During my recent travel to New Zealand with my wife, we spent tour first night at Airport B&B. We were impressed with how the manager upkeep this place. Really clean and neat. Not even a single mark on the walls. Bravo and highly recommended.

The only downside was, the walls are really thin. Should your neighbor snores and you are a light sleeper, good luck getting some shut eyes.

While the name "Airport B&B" doesn't sound much, we were certainly surprised when we arrived. The rooms were very big, where there were sufficient room for 3 of us plus all our large suitcases. The shared toilets and showers were spotless, and the whole B&B was well-kept. Breakfast was fantastic, with croissant sandwiches, cereals, toast, etc. Laurel made sure that my grandmother, who was a vegetarian, had something as well. That was great service! The microwave at the lounge area was great, as we bought supper back from town and wanted to heat it up. We stayed there for 2 nights, and it was certainly busy due to the rugby world cup. Laurel was a great host, taking time to speak to all guests and offering her assistance or guidance on the sights to see around Auckland.

It would be a good place to start your trip to NZ, as there were maps of every region available over there, plus the AA guide which I thought was pretty useful.

Room Tip: Grab the AA map for maps around North Island

Laurel was absolutely fantastic- picked up from airport early Monday morning and allowed into our room a little early so we could freshen up after a very long journey.

Decent room close to airport and bus stop to city (45 mins journey). Perfect place for start or end of a trip to NZ.

Airport Bed & Breakfast does not really sound like a big deal. But we were surprised about the cleanliness of the room and the hospitality of the owner. We can really recommend this Bed and Breakfast to other travellers who have just a short stopover in Auckland.
Laurel, a nice lady, picked us up in front of the International Airport (and she brought us back on the following day), we just had to call her after our arrival (toll free number, you don’t have to pay).
The room we took is the best which is available in the B&B: large Kingsize-bed, an own toilet an shower, a big flatscreen TV – perfect! Everything is extreme clean and in a very good condition. The rate for one night is really good, and it includes a simple breakfast buffet (starts already at 6 am!). You may borrow the newspaper from Laurel or one of the magazines and have a cup of tea or coffee, some fruit and cereal and toast with jam or marmalade.
I forgot to tell you that Laurel’s cookies are great! She offered us some at our arrival and also before we had to leave. Tea is always complimentary in the breakfast room.
If you need to storage your suitcases – no problem, Laurel will help you with that.
If you want to go to Auckland downtown or to Davenport – Laurel will tell you how (by bus).
If you want to go out for dining – Laurel will arrange that the restaurant owner will pick you up and bring you back.
Thank you, Laurel, also for the nice talks we have had with each other!

I love the personal service at B&B's. Some people might want bellboys and elevators, etc. but I like being able to look someone in the face and when asking about a car rental or a rest. and getting an honest opinion.
The ladies who run Airport B&B saved me loads of money on my car rental, sent me to a very good rest. and were spotlessly clean also! I spent my first night in NZ there after a dive trip to the Solomons and my last night. Laurel let me leave my awful bag of heavy dive gear there while I explored the North Island which was worth sooo much to me.
