Only $71 for the night instead of $215 at the Novotel where we normally stay.Nothing fancy but a good nights sleep although the room and bathroom were rather spartan. Some distance from the terminals so walking there when the shuttles have finished is not ideal if you have lots of luggage as we did at 1.30 am[rescued by a very nice shuttle bus driver who offered to take us without charge the kilometre to the hotel]

We spent the night here before a morning flight to Fiji. The room was very small & you might have trouble swinging a cat but it was clean & the bed was comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities but it did have a TV in the room. A perfect place to just put your head down before a flight & a reasonable price.

We stayed in order to get an early flight next morning. The check in was unfriendly and when I went down to ask for extra pillows only minutes after checking in was told they didn't have any. The rooms smelt really badly of damp and I mentioned this when I asked for pillows and nothing was offered (ie a room change). There was no kettle or tea/coffee in the room and not even a glass to have a drink of juice that we had brought with us. The shower leaked badly even though there was glass door onto the floor and out onto the carpet outside which is where the damp smell came from. Beds not comfortable. Shuttle service to airport was very convenient but not on time. Pub/Bistro next door was highlight of our stay. When were leaving my husband looked under the bed to check we'd not forgotten anything and saw bottle caps, champagne corks etc. There is also no servicing if you stay for 2 nights and this is certainly not standard in a hotel especially where there was nowhere to hang up your towels.

We had stayed here twice before when it was the Formule1 and it is still the exact same, all that’s really changed is the sign outside.
I think this hotel is great if you are not looking to spend much money but need somewhere close to the airport. Its clean, cheap, has en-suite bathrooms and TVs in the room and the regular free shuttle going to the airport is very handy. It is also located 1min away from a Countdown, Warehouse, a bakery and a bank so she can pretty much get what-ever you need without going far.
The earliest shuttle bus to the airport is at 3.30am.

We stayed here before and after our overseas holidays (early morning flights!), wanting a bed, breakfast and transfers to the airport. The free shuttle bus makes a regular circuit (I think every 30 minutes, to Ibis and 3 other hotels), which was convenient. The staff were lovely and friendly (when we checked in after our flight back, the reception staff remembered us and asked if we'd had a good holiday); the continental breakfast is perfectly adequate (and the café space it's held in is very clean and tidy), especially as we were paying $59/night for 2 people.
Our rooms were small-ish but incredibly well laid out, so that we actually had plenty of room for our suitcases (a surprising rarity in many hotels) and the bathroom had one of the best small-bathroom layouts I've come across - the basin had a nice wide top edge to it, so that I had enough room for my contact lens stuff, skin care, etc.
Next time we have an early flight, we'll definitely be staying here.

We stayed here overnight before an overseas holiday. For the price of $59 we were very happy. It was clean with nice clean linen and a clean bathroom. The room itself was very very small with a double bed with a bunk over top. We had only booked for 2 so the bunk was not needed. Comfy bed and a friendly bus driver. Only negative was that there was no information about the bus pick up on the booking confirmation so we had to call the hotel to find out. Would be beneficial for them to add this to the booking confirmation ie: that its a bright yellow bus, where it stops and times. Otherwise very happy and would return for the price.
