“Good Value”

Good value however if traveling with infants be aware that you have no kettle in the bedroom or baby room facilities in the hotel.

The only disadvantage about staying at Formular 1 Auckland airport is the bus service and or train service to destinations such as the city and other shopping centres.

This was a brand new Hotel and one would have expected in this case for them to have great internet access

But this was not the case so despite several attempts to gain access using my credit card it would go so far as accepting your card then nothing no epxlantion nothing

So after three attempts and not really sure that each attempt was going on to my card I gave up

Disspointing really as it was a really nice place for a Formula one

Like most who stay here, I had an early flight out, so it was a one night stay. The bed was not as advertised - two singles rather than the double with bunk - but for a single it was quite comfortable. The features were sparse - a decent TV and alarm clock, but no tea or coffee. As expected the room was small, but had a few touches of colour and a timber strip so was not completely bland. The shower proved to be decent, but the fittings looked a bit flimsy, so they'll be fine while the hotel is new.

Luckily there is a 24 hour supermarket across the road, a coffee shop in the same building as the hotel (it is around the back so not at all visible) and there is a bar beside the main entrance (it promises craft beer but I was too late in the day to try it).

I had no issues at all with noise, whether from aeroplanes, other guests or traffic, so slept well. I'd read the hotel info sheet and so found out about the shuttle to the airport, otherwise I'd have had no idea it existed. Others did; the 6:30 shuttle was full to the brim of early travellers. It is, however, entirely possible to walk to the airport, and the 380 bus to or from Manakau stops at the nearby shops.

First I tried to ring up and make a booking, was told I'd have to do it online (too bad if I didn't have a computer handy). Don't expect anything for free except a piddly little soap. No tea or coffee as part of the room rate. Tidy enough rooms but small and they did't go all out on the beds, just your very average spring mattress. Good for just sleeping in and not much more. Went to get something from the vending machines but had no cash and they wouldn't give me some from eftpos, so had to go to supermarket. About the only convenient thing was their location within walking distance to the airport.

Service was easy to access and done really well - booking, pick up/drop off from the airport, hotel reception checking in and out, the breakfast was good. All the staff - reception, bus driver and certainly the cleaning staff do a good job, thank you.
The place was clean and the room, while small, had all we needed and we were comfortable.
Best? Value for money. Location was great with having the pick up and drop off service. The shopping centre being so close was a bonus. The bar/cafe next door was a fabulous spot for great food and a quiet one. cheers!
Worst? Can't fault the hotel and would recommend a stay there.

Yes the rooms are small however, they are spotlessly clean, have comfortable beds, quiet and close to food outlets for those munches! If you want a cheap hotel for a short stay then I would happily recommend this place. The staff have also always been very helpful and there is a few shuttle to the airport, but the airport is also only about a 10 min walk away.
