“Save your money, Overpriced n Overcooked”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

We dined here last night 17/12. Table 42. Ordered 2 Grilled Rump at $32 each. One with vegies and potato and the other just salad. Ordered it Medium.

Came to the table, looked like slops! The meat was very Well Done, the scallop potatoes was running, no shape and was as if had been cooked for days! The vegies were just as bad. Worse than hospital food. Overcooked and tasteless. We sent the steaks back which we dont usually do, but considering paying $32 each, it was unacceptable.

The kids had a bowl of spaghetti, $7.50. we were charged $13 due to computer error apparently. The spaghetti tasted fine and we had no issues with it. After about another 20-30 minutes I mentioned to my husband our steaks will be overcooked again as it was taking way to long... anyway, our new steaks came out and yet again they were Well Done.

By this stage the kids were ready to go and we were to frustrated to have to wait again. The Grilled rump meal is worth no more than $10. It would be equivelent to Seniors Bowls Club meal or hospital not a fine dining as the price demands.

For that price I expect my scallop potato to have some form, be cut into a nice square, and my vegies to be crisp and seasoned. Also my steak to be cooked as requested.

Ordered a bottle of Wolf Blass Chardonay, $12 on the menu and charged $13.60.

Do not waste your money as we did. For $100 for our meals and drinks, we went home and ate toast instead.

“Don't miss this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Our driver from the train station recommended we try the Boat Club for a meal during our 3 day stay. We did and went back again it was so good. The staff were super friendly and we had a table right next to the window with a view over the marina. The food was excellent, quick service and great value. The second night we caught the free courtesy bus back to our hotel and had a tour of the town with the most helpful driver. This bus will pick up as well as deliver you home. Excellent service.

“Boat Club for value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

The restaurant in the Boat Club offers lovely views, spacious seating, efficient service and above all, a varied menu of predictably good Aussie fare. You can be sure to receive value for money and an enjoyable dining experience at an affordable price.

“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

Their vegetarian dishes are fantastic value for money. Loved the size of the serving, too. If going there for lunch, get in early if you want a good seat or you could end up against the wall.
