Enjoyed our night at craigdon guest house. We were well cared for by Jenny. She looked after all our( husband, 18 month old and myself) needs. Lovely dinner and hearty breakfast. The house is beautifully restored . Hope to visit again and stay for longer.

If you find yourself in the north west of NSW near Narrabri, drive a few more kilometers on the Bingara road and reward yourself with a stay at Craigdon guest house.
This is a beautiful property in magnificent surroundings where nothing is too much trouble for host Jenny.
Built in 1905 this beautiful property has been lavishly maintained with mod cons, free wifi, cable TV integrated with surroundings from yesteryear.
We stayed in the guest house, there is a separate cabin option that we didn't see, and it was more than comfortable.
Just a really nice property.

Room Tip: Stay in the guest house.

What a fun visit - a reminder of what life would have been like in north western NSW over a 100 years ago and thank you for taking the time to send in a review. I'm glad you enjoyed Craigdon and hope the rest of your tour was just as enjoyable. Many thanks for your business and review.

We travel each year between NSW and QLD to visit family. Usually we get there as quickly as possible. This year we decided to stop off for two nights rather than one. As we would rather stay somewhere a little different and hopefully a bit special, we chose Craigdon on our way home. We would rather spend a little more for a memorable and truly relaxing experience rather than save a few dollars in a "soul-less" motel (I know not all motels are soul-less).

Craigdon truly met our expectation of somewhere special. A beautiful home; well set up to accommodate guests in five star comfort; managed with by Jen with aplomb, great cooking and a manner that truly makes you fell welcome but still allows you privacy.

The setting is superb. We always thought Narrabri was flat cotton country but discovering this extinct vocanic region with incredible views and wonderful walks was an eye opener. we want to return to explore the region further.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine

We had a wonderful stay at Craigdon in April, our second in as many years. The house itself is beautiful and our room was clean and spacious with lots of lovely homely touches. There is plenty of room for the children to roam around, with both a sitting room and a large, sunny living/dining room for guest use. They also loved the pool and the grounds.
The meals were delicious, with hot brekkies and dinners that catered for the adults and even the fussy eating kids in our family! We even got treated to afternoon tea which was a very relaxing for mum!
Jenny and David are great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them, but they also give you plenty of space and allow you to feel like the house is yours to enjoy too, and they were very patient with our kids!
The location is very peaceful, with lovely views from the house. It is just a few minutes to Sawn Rocks, a local landmark and an easy drive into Narrabri.
We would definitely recommend Craigdon and will be visiting again next year!

I could not recommend Craigdon more highly. Found on the internet due to lack of accommodation in Narrabri, I stayed overnight with a colleague (in the cabins) on our way to a presentation. We booked in for dinner and were served a home-cooked, simple but elegant (and delicious) meal with personal, attentive and friendly service. Same for breakfast with the benefit of views to the mountains from the verandah. The setting is just beautiful and we fitted in a walk to Sawn Rocks before dinner. I didn't see inside the guest house rooms but the cabins were modern and large. We were stoked that we had found this place and tried to figure out how we could stop in on our next work trip. I would come back for a personal visit anytime.

Jen, the hostess, is simply amazing. Her warm and friendly nature along with a beautiful property of Craigdon give you the "home away from home" feeling.

Jen is accommodating and the service is beyond what any hotel could provide. She is not overbearing, however, and gives you space and privacy if you wish.

The food was like a delicious home cooked meal, and the desserts were anything but ordinary. I really enjoyed her mini cream tarts with berries. Although I left the menu up to Jen, each meal was delicious and well balanced. The ambiance was that of a restaurant with relaxing music in the evening and upbeat tunes in the morning to get your day started. It was like eating at a restaurant, only your room was just a few steps away!

The property itself is beautiful, with more species of birds than I could even count. She has two lovely dogs that are just a joy to be around. There are also horses in the back.

Sawn rocks and the Mount Kaputar National Park are nearby. Sawn rocks is just a short skip away and makes for a nice evening stroll. The rock formations are amazing and unlike anything I've ever seen.

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is your place. Though not in the centre of Narrabri, it is conveniently located a short 30 minutes drive away through a beautiful countryside. Even if you are on business, strongly consider staying at this hidden gem.

The scenery is absolutely stunning, you feel as if you are in an oil painting, it's Australia at it's most beautiful. A blissful night's sleep thanks to the clean air, soft sheets, and yummy dinner. It was a real treat to stay in such a beautiful home which also boasts spotless bathrooms, and small clever furnishing touches. The hosts ensured I had company when I needed it, and my peace otherwise. I can't wait to go back
