“Modern Room but too small for family of 4”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We stayed in an ensuite Chalet, the room is clean, modern design and well equip. But the room and bath room is really small. We have only 2 adults and 2 small kids in our family, we already feel very cramp, just imagine if your team have 4 adults.

We stayed in an ensuite chalet which was comfortable with a very modern bathroom and we had our own private picnic table outside and which to sit and look at the lovely views.

We also used the hot tub and the swimming both were both clean and well mantained.

The location is right on SH1 but it's still a very quiet place to stay which is good plus it's only a ten minute walk to the town centre.

I also stayed here on a previous trip in a campervan and thought it was such a good location and value for money that i returned.

The owner is friendly and helpful, though I already heard that there's no shower toiletries provided, they still get hairdryer for me when I requested. The room is exactly like the picture on the website, very nice wooden design, except my boy friend doesn't like the fix shower head (non-detachble), is worth to stay, comes with tower heater, electric bed and clean sharing kitchen. Comparing to some famous holiday parks, we prefer this cosy and small park.

We camped at the Alpine Pacific a couple of weekends ago, what a great place. The facilites were clean and tidy, there was heaps of space in the camp kitchen for several families and groups to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool had just been opened for the summer and my son spent most of our three days there getting in any chance he could get. I found the spas more to my temperature!
Good upselling when the manager prompted us to purchase a holiday park card, which we'll definitely use.
Grounds were clean and organised.
Close to supermarket, bottle store, cafes, and not far to walk to the main street of Kaikoura.
Just lovely.

This property is much quieter than the Top Ten camping ground as it is sited down off the road. There are lovely views across the rural landscape to the mountains. The units were very clean and well equipped and the showers had great pressure. The communal spa pool was well used by our party. Would stay here again.

Good value for money, was quiet and warm (electric blankets too) - good views of the snow packed mountains from the room. Some incidental noise from the other units. Spa facilities have the same view, lots of spaces around for picnics, etc. Kitchenette was well equipped but shower only (no bath), soap only provided (no shampoo). Recommend Hislop’s Café just down the road for a great breakfast. Had a studio motel unit in the off peak period.

Room Tip: Choose an upstairs studio motel unit to avoid hearing neighbors walking upstairs.

Powered site booked here for one night. The general camping area is nicely maintained, with plenty of space between vans.

The kitchen and lounge area is clean and well maintained, they are both very large so plenty of room for all guests.

They had a really nice looking spa area, which we didnt have time to use unfortunately. Showers were almost like a Spa resort, large, powerful with warm water - only slight downside is there is a timer of 10 minutes, so you do rush slightly, but I suppose it good they are being environmentally friendly.

Nice park, really good location, only a 5 minute walk to the Whale watching boat company and about 10 minutes to the centre of town. There is also a New World Shopping centre not too far down the road. Can't think of anything to fault it. :)
