“Great location, friendly and helpful service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014 via mobile

Hokitika was an unexpected treasure on our west coast travel of South Island and we wish we could have spent more time at this charming motel. Our only criticism was a dinner recommendation to Ocean View that turned out to be very disappointing!

Diane and Chris are wonderful hosts, very friendly and hospitable. The house is lovely and purpose built. It's just a small hop from the house into town and sea front. We drove it but I'm sure it's walkable. We were slightly worried when we found out it was close to an airport. Needn't have worried, it's tiny and for excursions only. Never heard a single plane! Delicious home cooked breakfast and complimentary glass of wine in the evening.

This is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast style accomodation.
The owner is extermely welcoming.
The house is perfectly furnished with a lot of taste and confortable.
We had a good time there. We hesitated with Greymouth to sleep, we were not disappointed to have choosen Hokitika which is nicer.

Five of us (traveling with my in-laws) stayed for three nights in the two-bedroom cottage, our 2-year-old enjoyed digging in the toy box, it's very comfortable and feels like an ideal home. Definitely recommend for families.

We stayed here for one night as part of our South Island tour and cannot recommend Chris and Dianne's beautiful B&B highly enough!
They made us feel like welcome house guests with the most beautiful and well appointed room, a fabulous breakfast and an outstanding location.
Hokitika is a lovely town and we are so happy we chose this place.
Don't hesitate - stay here if you can!

Our first ever trip to Hokitika and we would thoroughly recommend. The 2bdr cottage was so clean and tidy, and very well appointed. There was even a great toy chest for the kids to explore. The peace and quiet was wonderful and Dianne and Chris were both so welcoming and helpful. Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, the property was great and it was safe for our kids to play. Wish we'd bought their bikes! We would definitely stay again.

We spent a night here and it was lovely. We were in a two bedroom room and it was lovely. Spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. We felt extremely comfortable here. Would certainly recommend.
