The only redeeming thing about our meal at Angora was the very pleasant waitress. I don't know if it was the chefs who were on the evening we dined there as I cannot understand how it could be the top rated restaurant in Wanganui. We ordered 2 courses. Turkish bread and dips, the tomato one tasted like tomato paste straight out of a tin, the other two dips were equally boring. I ordered a filo parcel with a fetta, spinach filling and it was revolting and inedible - just a soggy mess (it seemed as if it had been heated in a microwave and then browned under a grill on the very top). I was offered another one which I refused as I knew it would be the same. The salad accompanying it was also not up to standard. My husband's meal was edible.
