Lovely, old style room with comfortable seats. A nice quiet atmosphere with pleasant music. Superb waitress - efficient, knowledgeable and very friendly. The pace of the 3 course meal was excellent - nice gaps to let the food settle. We started with the garlic bread which was very different (in a nice way), generous serving and hot. Both of us found our mains a little disappointing. First the good news: they were large meals, hot and well cooked BUT they both lacked flavour ie bland. I had the lamb shanks and I don't think they had been marinated whilst my wife's ribs were also lacking in taste. Our desserts were very good with my wife's custard square being very different and very nice. In conclusion, a good meal but the mains needed more taste.
