Owner description: Lake Cave is a stunning crystal wonderland and the only cave in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge with a permanent lake. It acts as a mirror of infinite reflections that is truly magical. The cave is renowned for the ‘Suspended Table’ – a five tonne column of calcite that hangs from the ceiling just a few centimetres above the lake. The precinct features impressive retail, interpretative and cafe facilities. Located 25 kilometres south of Margaret River.

“Lake Cave is a lovely experience...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

We enjoyed our visit to Lake Cave. They say that it's the prettiest of the caves that are in the area, which may well be true. It's certainly beautiful. Our guide Diane was great, knowledgeable , friendly and very helpful. Do take the advice from other reviewers about the 100s of steps seriously; you have plenty of time on the way up as the tour has ended, but they are a challenge if you are not too fit!

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

If you don`t go through this cave you have missed something very special. Our guide was good and the tour was only a hour at the most.
You do need to walk down a lot of stairs just to get to the cave however when your at the bottom it is all worth it. Once your in the cave the lighting is amazing. Make sure you take your camera because you will get some great photos. We would highly recommend this tour.

“Hauntingly beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Beautiful cave with gorgeous limestone formations, especially the history behind it. The guide was helpful and entertaining. The steps are a little steep but the reward is worth it once you get to the end of the tour.

“Underground serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

An amazing natural wonder, beautifully lit and accessible, a little steep on the way down so be careful but it's a cave worth visiting in the area and very glad to hear it has been successfully preserved for the future, staff are friendly and informative and the cafe facility is great as this place is not close to amenities. A great afternoon.

“So, nature can be just awesome and very photogenic.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

This is a brilliant cave - so well set up for tourism, yet unspoiled. The lighting, the tour leaders, the experience and the sheer wonder of what nature can do.

Must see - and I am not telling more so as not to spoil the effect. Me, well I was gob-smacked.
